Akai Professional has announced the launch of Europe’s first MPC Training Centre at SubBass Academy, London.

SubBass Academy has a legacy of forging the careers of DJs and Producers for over 14 years. With the advent of specialist Level 1 MPC-focused courses, SubBass Academy delves into the finer intricacies of the MPC platform, highlighting the unrivalled workflow and superior production capability of Akai Professional’s flagship MPC Touch.

The MPC has been at the forefront of hip hop and electronic production since 1990, responsible for some of the biggest-selling records ever made. The recent release of their MPC Touch opens the door to a new approach to music production, empowering producers of any genre (including Deep House, Future Bass, DnB, Techno, Tech House, EDM and more) with a production- and performance-centric platform, courtesy of its in-demand controls and intuitive, gesture-controlled 7-inch touchscreen.

At SubBass Academy’s MPC Training, producers will learn the techniques, tips and tricks that forged and paved the way for many scenes of electronic music –whether it’s time shifting a snare for a necksnapping groove, laying samples for earth-shattering impact or using MPC Touch’s unparalleled sampling functionality.

During the intensive 16-hour weekend course, students will explore the MPC Touch, the bundled MPC Software and its seamless DAW integration.

Additional areas of study include:
