Applied Acoustics Systems has announced that its Chromaphone 2 creative percussion synthesizer plugin now supports Native Instrument’s NKS extended plug-in format.

NKS brings intuitive and seamless interaction between Chromaphone 2 and KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series keyboards and MASCHINE hardware.

Chromaphone 2’s key parameters have been mapped in order to provide optimal tactile control of its analog modeling engine. And Chromaphone 2’s entire factory preset library now appears in the powerful tag-based browsers of the MASCHINE and KOMPLETE KONTROL software.

This new NKS version of Chromaphone 2 is available now and provided free of charge to registered users.

To mark the event and until February 28th, 2017, Chromaphone 2 is offered at a price of $99 USD (a 50% discount) to new users. Sound banks for Chromaphone 2 (and the free AAS Player) are also 50% off.

Chromaphone 2 runs on both Mac OS X and Windows in 32- and 64-bit host sequencers supporting the VST, Audio Units, RTAS, and AAX Native plugin formats.
