Ericsound Plugins has released FreeeQ and UniQ, two equalizer plug-ins for Windows and Mac.

The FreeeQ is a high-quality 3 band ‘instant results’ EQ which is also highly optimized (especially considering what it’s doing ‘under the hood’) for CPU usage, so you can use this on loads of tracks in your mix.

FreeeQ features

  • Stereo/mono, 3 band fixed curve EQ.
  • Low shelf, mid bell, high shelf.
  • +/- up to 15dB per band.
  • Classic hardware emulation.
  • 64-bit double precision, internal processing.
  • Economical CPU usage for high track counts.
  • Sample rate fixed at 44.1kHz.
  • THD(k) < 0.0000032%

Ericsound Plugins UniQ

UniQ is FreeeQ’s big brother, featuring the same super smooth yet precise analogue sound. The processing has been even further refined and UniQ has extra features.

  • Stereo, 4 band fixed curve EQ.
  • Low shelf, mid bell, high mid bell, high shelf.
  • +/- up to 12dB per band.
  • Switch-able bypass, pad and phase.
  • True RMS-VU meter with peak and clip indication.
  • Memory store locations*.
  • Classic hardware emulation.
  • 64-bit double precision, internal processing.
  • High quality processing with economical CPU usage.
  • THD< -169dB.
  • Supported sample rates: 44.1kHz/48kHz/88.2kHz*/96kHz*/176.4kHz*/192kHz*
