Exponential Audio has announced the “most powerful and flexible effects plug-in you can find”.

Combining delay, flanger, pitch, distortion and more into a powerful modular architecture, Excalibur gives you millions of combinations.

During development our testers and previewers have honoured us by comparing Excalibur to many classic studio effects units, we’ll let you decide which ones when you hear it. We think emulation is nice, but we wanted to take that and build on it, adding all the things you could have never have done with the original hardware units.

We asked those who got to preview Excalibur how they would describe it, they said:

“An audio processing Swiss Army knife.”
”Multi effects box of days past.
”The most extensive Multi-FX, all- in-one plug-in available.”
”A Sound designers multi-FX unit.”

Imagine a multi-effects unit that works like a modular synth and you’re starting to get close to the heart of Excalibur.

Its modular architecture allows you to assemble millions of effects, configured in ways you’ve only been able to imagine.

“Emulation is nice, but we wanted to take that and build on it, adding all the things you could have never have done with the original hardware units”

The plug-in will be available for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS/AAX) in Spring 2015 at an introductory price (regular $199 USD).
