Flux has announced the release of BitterSweet Pro v3, a frequency dependent transient designer built around a new improved design of the algorithm found in the freeware BitterSweet transient processor, used by hundreds of thousands of users all over the world.
One of the main features of BitterSweet Pro is the Frequency Dependent Transient Processing, providing the ability to process only a certain part of the frequency spectrum making it act just like a dynamic equalizer driven by Transients and/or Sustain.
In addition, Transients and Sustain can be amplified or attenuated simultaneously or individually, and it can process either all components (Main) in one, or process the Mid (Center) or the Side (Stereo) parts of the sound independently by encoding the material with its internal MS encoder, process it, and then decode it back to stereo again.
To retain control of the signal, even under extreme processing, a soft clipper is provided at the very last stage of the processing path carefully rounding the edges of the clipped peaks for a smoother clipping.
This fundamental design makes it a genuinely easy task to perform powerful level-independent transparent shaping of the sound spectrum using BitterSweet Pro.
BitterSweet Pro v3 for Windows and Mac is available for the introductory price of 89 EUR/$99 USD (regular 179 EUR/$199 USD). BitterSweet Pro is also included in the new Full Pack 2.2 bundle, offered during the release period at 529 EUR/$599 USD (regular 1,159 EUR/$1,290 USD).
Current owners of the Full Pack 2.1 bundle will receive an email with a free upgrade to the Full Pack 2.2 bundle, that includes BitterSweet Pro, and upgrades towards Full Pack 2.2 are offered with a 50% discount during the release period in the Flux Online Shop. BitterSweet Pro is also added to the Full Pack and the Pure Analyzer Complete + Full Pack subscription licenses.
Flux has also announced that all Flux, Ircam by Flux, and Jünger Audio by Flux software is now installed using the Flux Center.
Flux:: Center is a new software management application for installing software, keeping track of software updates, and managing licenses on the Flux:: Matrix dongle (previously handled by the Security Manager software) on both Mac OS X and Windows.
