Impact Soundworks has announced the release of the Impact Soundworks Trial Pack, a free download showcasing a collection of 26 carefully-selected Kontakt patches and 32 loops from their critically-acclaimed catalog of sampled instruments.

The Trial Pack contains a wide range of sounds including ambient textures, world instruments, guitars, bass, percussion, and even patches from the recently-released CURIO: Cinematic Toy Piano.

All patches in the Trial Pack are royalty-free with no licensing or usage restrictions. The instrument selections comprise libraries like Resonance, Shreddage, Koto Nation, Forest Frame Drums, Impact: Steel, Plectra Series 1-3, and several others, showcasing key elements of each: for example, an octave of the 8-string acoustic bouzouki, several deep-sampled percussive strokes from Sitar Nation, or the powerchords of Shreddage.

Impact Soundworks was founded in 2007 by composers Andrew Aversa and Will Roget, II with the goal of creating innovative, affordable and unique sample libraries “designed with composers in mind.” Its critically acclaimed catalog of instruments has been used by thousands of composers around the world in film, television, video game and other music productions.

“Our goal with the Trial Pack is to provide composers with a small, but delicious, slice of our full catalog,” said Aversa. “It’s an excellent way to introduce yourself to our sounds, or to try our libraries before buying the full versions.”

In addition to the sounds themselves, many patches in the Trial Pack include the full user interface from their respective libraries. For example, users can build sounds using the full ensemble builder from Impact: Steel, sculpt custom patches with Curio’s full FX rack, or fine-tune the textures of Resonance.

The Impact Soundworks Trial Pack is available as a free digital download.
