Joe Real has released Jazz Piano, a freeware rompler VST instrument for Windows PC.
An acoustic piano that Joe sampled and used on a lot of his productions. Warm with good bass and treble. A little heavy. You need to have plenty of memory.
Jazz Piano is available as a freeware VST instrument for Windows PC. Download it here (RapidShare).

Ahhh, excellent find. This is consistently one of the very few third party plugin types that I’m always searching for. I just don’t have the scratch for something like NI’s Akoustic Piano right now so this should do nicely.

Joe’s plugins aren’t going to compete with those high quality commercial libraries but I’m finding them quite lovely anyway, especially at no cost.

Nah, I wouldn’t expect them to compete, but it’s just nice to have a lightweight piano laying around for no money that I can try out ideas with.
