Mini-review: CFA Sound Futured Episode 2
Massive might very well be one of Native Instruments’ most popular synths, which would explain the abundance of sound libraries for this particular instrument.
Most of these expansions are geared towards popular electronic music genres like trance, progressive, electro, etc., but CFA Sound’s Futured Episode 2 is a little different.
Here’s what the product page says:
This amazing soundset contains 100 epic athmospheres, velvet pads, evolving soundscapes and crystal synth-sounds. Ideal for ambient, chillout, filmscore and also for epic trance-athmos. Feed yur massive with this sounds, and you will see a new side of your massive. All Sounds coming with complete macro-control allocation for maximal usability and fast manipulations.
Check the demo below to get an idea of the range of sounds included in Futured Episode 2.
The sound set is available to purchase for 25 EUR, or bundled with Futured Episode 1 & 3 — which cater more to the styles I mentioned earlier, for 60 EUR excl. VAT.
So what do I think?
Format: NI KoreSound (requires Massive 1.1.3 or higher)

What a beautiful collection of sounds! You get a wide range of sounds, from sharp eerie atmospheres to lush plucked sounds to amazing organic pads.
Browsing the presets I found just about every single patch completely inspiring. The macro controls are mapped to useful parameters for easy and fast manipulation of the sounds.
In short, Futured Episode 2 delivers a collection of high quality, well designed sounds with a unique character.
