New Sonic Arts has released version 1.1 of Granite, a granular texture generator for Windows.

Granite is a granular synthesizer particularly capable at generating evolving, organic textures, atmospheres and soundscapes. However, Granite offers an vast range of transformation possibilities, and is can generate a wide range of sounds including organic basses and highly processed loops.

Featuring a compact and intuitive interface, and an engaging workflow including innovative movement recorders and “cycle” modulators, Granite can operate as a free-running sound generator, or as a playable MIDI instrument. Most parameters can be controlled via MIDI CC and host automation.

  • 64bit (x64) support.
  • Loop position movement recording.
  • New activation process, including offline activation.
  • Reworked graphics engine with several fixes and enhancements.
