Point Blank Online has announced that its Dubstep Course is now available to Logic users.

Point Blank Online Dubstep for Logic

Award-winning music school Point Blank Online has seen so many students come through its virtual doors wanting to learn how to make Dubstep using Ableton Live that they’ve converted their ground breaking learning program to Apple Logic Pro due to popular demand.

As Dubstep develops as a genre, so the Point Blank team takes this opportunity to update the course material as well as convert to Logic from Ableton. Now they are covering a broader base of styles designed to help you create ribcage rattlers, chilled grooves, experimental dubs or something edgier. It’s packed with techniques and insights that will satisfy the most raging Dubstep thirst! With 1-2-1 video feedback from a pro producer each week – DVR™ – your tracks will improve quicker than you can say ‘wobble bass’! If you’ve got the groove in you, this class will bring it out.

Co developers for the Dubstep Course are Jonny Miller and Danny Lewis. Jonny is an acclaimed producer, DJ and label manager who has racked up releases on labels including Aquatic Lab, Sidestepper Recordings, K7 and Twisted Funk. Jonny examines a broad range of production techniques from bass heavy dubs through to more techno influenced flavours. Point Blank’s own Danny J keeps the Brosteppers happy with scientific analyses of a range of heavy artillery: out there sound design techniques and 2-step flavours broken down for you logically, step-by-step.

In addition to 1-2-1 video feedback, tutors also host a weekly live Masterclass where students can discuss that week’s content, raise technical questions and share information. Course materials including video tutorials, project files, audio resources, DVR™ and detailed course notes are available to students for a full year from enrolment.

Courses start monthly from 1st Aug 2011 (class sizes are strictly limited and enrolment is now underway), priced at £355 GBP.
