3ee Sound Design Aesthetics for Diva

3ee Sound Design has announced the release of Aesthetics, a soundset for the Diva virtual analog synthesizer by u-he.

Aesthetics is a collection of 64 instruments for the great u-he Diva synthesizer. The basic idea of creating diverse, solid and playable, sweet-spot instruments that were tweaked to perfection with no particular genre or style in mind was very effective.

All instruments within this collection were created by 3ee and were optimized with modulation wheel and pressure controls. (exception, no control assignments for the Poly_String Chest2 patch)

The Aesthetics soundset is available to purchase at the price you want to pay ($7 USD mimimum). A free demo pack is available to download from the product page.

Sample Remix Contest – Win prizes from Toontrack, iZotope, UVI & Synthogy

March 2013 Sample Remix Contest

Get your samplers ready, it’s time for another sample remix contest!

If you have previously participated in one of these contests you know the drill: Compose a track using the samples included in the download only, for a chance to win some great prizes.

You may process the samples any way you like, as long as you don’t use any additional instruments, samples, recordings, or other sound sources.

The download includes a total of 115 samples (24bit/44kHz WAV), including sounds contributed by Horatiu-Cristian Petrila of 3ee Sound Design.

The samples are basically all one-shot sounds, no loops this time. They are also deliberately without key information, the idea being that you explore the sounds and be inspired by what you find, rather than connecting the dots in a construction kit style approach.

Sample Remix Pack Download size: 48.3 MB

The deadline for submitting your entry is April 7th, 2013, 11:59pm CET.

So what can you win?

Our friends at Time+Space have generously donated a wonderful selection of prizes from its partners, a value of well over $2,000 USD in total!

Time+Space Sample Remix Contest prizes

Been a while since I’ve released something so… here it is:

Mainly thick, greasy, “sweetspot” as well as “modern” bass and lead patches. Try MW and AT, almost all patches have them assigned.

Well, I hope you’ll enjoy this small(20+), but classy collection… and even though I have Diva, TyrellN6 is sure keeping me company a little while longer too!

3ee Sound Design releases Winter for u-he Zebra

Related: , , Posted in news on Feb 23, 2012 - comment 1 comment

3ee Sound Design has released Winter, a soundset for the Zebra virtual synthesizer instrument by u-he.

3ee Sound Design Winter for u-he Zebra

Winter is a collection of 64 expressive instruments with an overall icy-cold refreshing character not limited by any particular style or genre. Few instruments will have a slight EDM feel, although cinematic might be a good term to describe the overall collection.

All instruments within this collection were created by Horaţiu-Cristian Petrila also known as 3ee and were optimized with modulation wheel, after touch and XY control assignments.

The XY performance controls in particular will significantly change the sound in most cases, so the number of patches can easily be doubled. I highly encourage everyone to play around with all of the assigned controls and find what best suits your needs. Each patch also includes a bit of extra information that can be accessed by clicking “i” located top-right side of Zebra’s graphic interface.

The Winter soundset for Zebra is available for the introductory price of $4.41 USD.
