Admiral Quality Poly-Ana (Simple1 skin by Scott Kane)

Admiral Quality has announced a Divide by Two Sale.

This is a little experiment for us, the first time we’ve offered a discount in our pricing, and it’s a BIG one. From now until the end of the year, prices on all our products are CUT IN HALF! We’ve never offered discount pricing before (and quite possibly will never do it again).

Prices haven’t been this low since our products were in Beta, so if you’ve been thinking about owning an Admiral Quality synth or effect plug-in, now’s the time to do it! Prices go back up on January 1, 2010.

Divide by Two Sale pricing

  • Poly-Ana, for $89.98 USD (regular $179.95).
  • L’il Poly-Ana, for $47.48 USD (regular $94.95).
  • SCAMP, for $34.98 USD (regular $69.95).

Admiral Quality updates Poly-Ana to v1.15

Admiral Quality Poly-Ana (Simple1 skin by Scott Kane)

Admiral Quality has released version 1.15 of Poly-Ana, an analog model polyphonic synthesizer plug-in for Windows and Mac.

Poly-Ana uses a different approach than most other VA soft-synths which we feel delivers a sound more authentic to the early analog synths that inspired her features. This “brute-force” method admittedly requires more processing power than other common techniques, but is a far truer model of the functioning of real analog instruments.

Changes in Poly-Ana v1.15

  • New platform support for Windows x64 VST and OSX VST.
  • Splashscreen replaced by new cross-platform Options Dialog. Click product name to activate.
  • Clicks in Cakewalk Sonar while working editor controls may be fixed (let us know please).
  • By popular demand: Faster editor loads after first time.
  • Silent gap demo mode only now on all platforms. Demo never expires.

L’il Poly-Ana, the preset-player version of Poly-Ana, was updated to version 1.15 as well.

Poly-Ana is available to purchase as a VST instrument plug-in for PC and Mac, priced at $179.95 USD. L’il Poly-Ana costs $94.95 USD.

Admiral Quality releases Poly-Ana OSX Beta

Admiral Quality Poly-Ana

Admiral Quality has released a public beta version of Poly-Ana for Mac OSX.

Poly-Ana uses a different approach than most other VA soft-synths which we feel delivers a sound more authentic to the early analog synths that inspired her features. This “brute-force” method admittedly requires more processing power than other common techniques, but is a far truer model of the functioning of real analog instruments. If you obsess over the quality of your sound like we do then you won’t mind using a bit more CPU power to help get you closer to that real analog sound; a sound that so many other VA synths fall too-far short of.

Check here for detailed information on Poly-Ana’s features.

The Poly-Ana beta for Mac is currently available as a VST plug-in. Audio Units should follow shortly.

Admiral Quality releases L’il Poly-Ana v1.14

Admiral Quality Líl Poly-Ana

Admiral Quality has released version 1.14 of L’il Poly-Ana, a preset-player version of the Poly-Ana analog model synthesizer plug-in.

L’il has all of regular Poly-Ana’s sound features and capabilities, only your ability to design new patches has been restricted. But we’ve left in every performance related control. The entire simulation control section as well, including Quality (CPU), Saturator and our phenomenal new Analog Drift feature. And we even threw in the cutoff and resonance controls for both filters — the most popular controls for live voice tweaking! L’il Poly-Ana comes as VST instrument-only, without the effect version of the plug-in as included in the full version of Poly-Ana.

L’il Poly-Ana is available for an introductory price of $39.95 USD until January 1, 2009 (regular price will be $69.95 USD). A demo version can be downloaded from the product page.

Admiral Quality updates Poly-Ana to v1.12

Admiral Quality Poly-Ana v1.1

Admiral Quality has released version 1.12 of Poly-Ana, an analog model polyphonic synthesizer plug-in for Windows PC.

Changes in v1.12

  • Receptor compatible.
  • New SSE2 optimizations have reduced CPU usage to as little as 75% of version 1.00 on some platforms.
  • Fixed bug in polyphonic mode where stolen voices weren’t retriggering.
  • Fixed some stability bugs in the editor.
  • Added program name edit field, program select dropdown menu (click the program number), and program increment/decrement buttons to top of editor. Authorization controls have moved above keyboard and the “Auth” button has been removed. Simply hit “enter” or select any other control to confirm your key entry.
  • Removed limit from high end of filter cutoff range. This allows the HPF mode to completely cut all sound now, rather than always letting some highs pass through as before.
  • Voices in release stage now show in voice display.
  • Changed behavior: Incoming MIDI no longer turned to automation events. Didn’t prove useful as a feature and can cause conflicts in some cases.
  • Fixed bug when handling “duplicate timestamped” MIDI events of the same type. In this case the last received duplicate event will be used now. Fixes pitch bend and modulation errors from some host/controller combinations.
  • Fixed a long standing bug relating to oscillator sync that was causing Poly-Ana to get “sick” under certain, rare conditions. (Hosts that make random patches were very good at casing this.) Poly-Ana should no longer have “poison patches”.
  • Sustain pedal behavior problem in some hosts fixed.
  • Fixed another oscillator sync related bug where sync was internally turned off after bypassing/resuming even though editor panel still showed the correct setting.
  • Changed the method Poly-Ana uses to find its .dll location, may help users who were having trouble loading the custom background Poly-AnaBG.png.

A new fully functional demo of Poly-Ana has been released, so if you’ve tried it before you can evaluate if for another week.
