Yuroun has announced the release of Abstractum II, a new soundset for the Alchemy software synthesizer instrument by Camel Audio.
Abstractum II is the successor of Abstractum I and contains a set playable atmospheres, textures and drones. Ranging from alchemistic, cosmic atmosphere’s to ethereal and bone-chilling soundscapes.
Abstractum II features over 359 MB of sample material hand-picked from Yuroun’s personal library and created with a custom Reaktor ensemble.
Each of the presets makes full use of Alchemy’s remix pads, offering a total of 440 sound variations. Use the remix pad and tweak knobs to find sounds that inspire you, or just fit well into your mix.
The soundset is available to purchase for 8.30 EUR.

Yuroun Sound Design has announced Pure, a new sound library for Camel Audio’s Alchemy.
YSD says “We call it Pure because there were no samples involved. The sounds where made with Alchemy’s Virtual Analog engine. The sounds are Pure Alchemy. The pad sounds are warm, lush, deep, dreamy and dronish. Each of the 30 presets makes full use of Alchemy’s remix pads, offering a total of 240 sound variations. Use the remix pad and tweak knobs to find sounds that inspire you, or just fit well into your mix. This sound library is a perfect companion to your Cinematic, Ambient or New Age arsenal.”
There are two versions of this sound set. The normal version contains only the sounds, the Plus version has a mini Ambient MIDI kit inside. Those MIDI files are taken from the sound demos, so you can recreate the demos or make you own ambient track with it.

Patchpool has released Stick Guitar, a sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt.
This patch uses 135 multisamples from my Alchemy soundset Warped Strings beating the 6 open strings of an acoustic Western Guitar with a drumstick – 3 velocity layers and 5x Round Robin (variarions per sampled note) were sampled.
To extend the range of the instrument the low E-String was also tuned down to a G0 and the high E-String was also sampled at B3 and E4.
Stick Guitar for Kontakt 4 is available to purchase for 7.50 EUR. Customers who purchased Warped Strings for Alchemy can get this sample library at no cost.
