Peter den Herder has released the Impulse Train soundset, a collection of 64 patches for Andreas Ersson’s polyIblit, a freeware instrument plug-in for Windows.

polyIblit is a VST 2.3 compatible software synthesizer for PC. The oscillator waveforms are generated using BLITs (Band Limited Impulse Train) which gives oscillators with very low aliasing.

Impulse Train soundset features

• 64 patches, bass and lead sounds only.
• Sounds mainly for dance genre.
• Modulation sensitivity indication for patches:
  • l = legato
  • v = velocity
  • pb = pitch bend wheel
  • mw = modulation wheel

Frank Genus of ToTc Productions has released Skales, a full bank of 64 presets for Andreas Ersson’s LazySnake VSTi.

Presets include various EPs, Basses, Sound Effects, and more; some will prove extremely useful, while others will remain more experimental.

To install the custom ToTc skin (made by Tuzemec), simply extract the tzm.fsf file into your LazySnake Skins directory. Once you have done so, you will be able to select it from the Skins Menu within LazySnake.

Redshift Audio has released Andreas Ersson‘s Drumular has been updated to version 1.0.2.

New in v1.0.2

• ‘Additive’ synthesis module. Gives control over waveform frequency and twelve(!) partials. Each partial has it’s own decay, frequency, and velocity parameters
• ‘Monobass’ module. Good old analog mono bassline. Tuned and playable across the whole keyboard. Sawtooth or pulse waveforms. Adjustable pulse width. Frequency cutoff, resonance, and portamento controls

Andreas Ersson has released LazySnake v1.0.3, a virtual electric piano VSTi.

LazySnake has a nice GUI and is very CPU friendly. It can create a wide variety of sounds with good quality. The included presets are useful and are a good indication of what this VSTi can do.
