Archetype Instruments has announced version 2.01 of Arc 5, the 2nd generation of its synthesizer instrument for Windows.

We have been focused on how to create those outstanding and extreme sounds easier and faster expected from 5 characteristic synthesis algorithm: Subtractive, Supersaw Emulation, FM, Physical Modeling and Unison voice sawtooth with hard sync.

We also have been researched on advanced multi effect processor for more diverse results and easy to use arpeggiator system for more dynamic phrases.

As a result of these efforts, Arc 5 has extremely few controllers for quick and easy control, extreme sounds from 5 synth modes with 2 layers, 1 multi-effect processor and 32 step DUAL Arpeggiator system.

Arto Vaarala has released version 1.0.3 of the Kirnu Cream MIDI performer plug-in for Windows and Mac.

Kirnu Cream is a very powerful MIDI performer VST/AU plugin for Windows and Mac. It works on both 32 and 64 bit systems.

Cream is intended to be used in both live and offline DAW usage.

Daniel Stawczyk (Status) has announced the release of Decent-Neurotic-Arpeggiators, a collection of 200 arp presets for the Ultra Analog VA-1 software synthesizer by Applied Acoustics Systems.

“DNA” is the set of two hundred arp loops created on the basis of the Ultra Analog VA-1′s arpeggiator concept.
Despite the seemingly limited possibilities of the instrument’s arpeggiator, when skillfully conducted, the synth seems to make miracles.
With its LFO action combined with the PAN flexibility, “Decent-Neurotic-Arpeggiators” Soundset is probably the first offer of this kind on the market.

• Track key area ranges caused key area overlapping (i.e track 3 C5-B5, track 4 C6-B6 pressing C5 caused track 4 also to trigger). Fixed.
• Pattern step data copy/paste doesn’t work. Fixed.
• Stuck notes when Swing is used with Div and too low Gate length. Fixed.
• Fixed: Cream is now fully compatible with OS X 10.5.
• Fixed: Step indicator visuals are stuck on “off” steps.
• Fixed: Odd notes (1/16D,1/16T) handling.

u-he has announced some more details on its upcoming releases, recently introduced at the Musikmesse 2013.

Apart from all those updates we also presented a couple of new products and the new modules for Diva…

u-he’s all new Satin Tape Machine plug-in.

Satin is a tape simulation plug-in that includes tape delay and true flanging. Under-the-hood features: record / playback head calibration, tape coating selection, NR-encoding/decoding and more.

Satin created such a buzz during the show that we can’t wait to release it!

Satin is scheduled for release in May for VST2, VST3, AU (AAX tba), estimated at $129 USD.

The long-awaited virtual modular synthesizer instrument Bazille is expected June, 2013, with an estimated price of $149 USD.

Many of you will already know the alpha version of Bazille, a spin-off from our long-term project “Berlin Modular”. It’s been a few years already, so its about time we finished the job!

For those who didn’t know, Bazille is a large modular synth with FM, PD and Fractal Resonance built into each oscillator:

• Unique FM / PD based modular synthesizer, audio-rate modulation
• Quality effects and many other features not available in the alpha version

The Diva virtual analog synthesizer is also getting another update, expected this June.

Despite the current update to V1.2, Diva will undergo yet another free update to include the following new modules:

• digital oscillator emulation with dual multi-saws, internal feedback, pitched noise and more
• ‘uhbie’ emulation of a certain legendary 2-pole filter
• powerful arpeggiator and sequencer
• ETA is June 2013, free update from Diva 1.x
