  • [tranQuilizr for AAX-Native] Enables Alt+Drag operations in ProTools.
  • [tranQuilizr for VST, Windows] Fixes equalizing curve was incorrectly displayed when a project is reopened in SONAR.

eaReckon updates EAReverb to v1.3

Related: , , , , Posted in news on Apr 04, 2014 - comment 0 comments

eaReckon has released version 1.3 of its EAReverb effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.

eaReckon EAReverb

EAReverb is a true stereo reverb unit. EAReverb is 100% algorithmic. It does not use any IR files. Early reflections are built “on-the-fly” depending on your own settings. The size parameter has an impact on early reflections and late reverb… Switching from a size to another will immediately put your music or sounds in a place that matches your choice.

Changes in EAReverb v1.3

  • A new “Gate” module can be used to create a gated reverb as we were used to do it in the 80′s.
This module is a “sidechain” gate (its “Key Input” is used internally). The gate module affects the “wet” signal only but it is triggered by the “dry” one.
  • “Limit” option. By disabling the internal limiter, EAReverb should be considered as a zero-latency effect by your DAW.
  • “Boost” option. The Mix knob has been formerly thought to provide coherent results at 50% (when compared to a real environment). As per user request, the “Boost” option is a way to get the Mix knob behaving differently (more consistent output level).

EAReverb for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available for purchase for 129 EUR.

Voxengo updates TransGainer effect plugin to v1.6

Related: , , , , Posted in news on Apr 04, 2014 - comment 0 comments

Voxengo has released version 1.6 of its TransGainer, an effect plug-in that implements an audio signal envelope adjustment algorithm that reacts on transients rather than on a signal’s loudness level.

Voxengo Transgainer

TransGainer allows you to specify positive or negative gain adjustment for a sound’s transient stage. You can also choose an expected average time between transients and transient threshold level so that the algorithm delivers you the most precise results possible. With the help of TransGainer you can pass the border from good to excellent audio recordings.

This updated version 1.6 introduces a new “Precise B” algorithm which is better suited for mix and bus (broadband) processing.

Transgainer for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available for purchase for $79.95 USD.

Sonic Charge updates Synplant to v1.2 (incl. 64-bit) + CRAPRE for Reason

Sonic Charge Synplant

Sonic Charge has released version 1.2 of Synplant, a synthesizer instrument for Windows and Mac.

We decided that we could not not let you wait any longer for 64-bit compatibility so we took a lot of the new code from Synplant 2.0 and “merged” it back into 1.0.

Version 1.2 looks, sounds and behaves virtually identical to 1.0, although under the hood it uses our latest framework and libraries.

Apart from 64-bit compatibility and general performance improvements that come the new libraries, Synplant 1.2 also supports Authenticator for simpler registration.

Synplant for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available for purchase for $99 USD (+ VAT).

Sonic Charge also announced Cassette Recorder Audio Processor (CRAPRE), a Rack Extension effect for Propellerhead Reason.

Cassette Recorder Audio Processor

In other news, yesterday (April 1st) saw the launch of a new Rack Extension for Reason that I co-developed with PEFF and Bitplant. It is a Cassette Recorder Audio Processor Rack Extension (CRAPRE for short) and it makes such dirty noises you will need protective gloves to handle it.

A lot of people thought it was an April Fools joke and that it was not for real, but it is, which in itself is an even better joke I guess. It is only available for sale during April after which it will be removed from the Propellerhead Shop (again for real!). Don’t miss out on it!

Crapre costs 7.50 EUR.
