Blue Cat Audio has released new versions of Freeware Pack and Analysis Pack, two effect plug-in bundles for Windows and Mac.
We have just released new versions of our freeware and analysis plugins that fix several issues (mainly on Mac and Windows x64). For commercial plug-ins, it also improves the demo version and makes it more user-friendly. We recommend you to upgrade to these new versions. You can check the release logs for details.
Changes in the updates
- Fixes random crashes with “Multi” series user interfaces.
- Demo versions improvement: demo popup window now only appears once per session, and only when opening the user interface.
- Mac: fixes a crash with demo versions in Ableton Live 8.1.
- Mac: fixes multiple screens issues with free plugins.
- Win x64: fixes issues with several hosts not recognizing plug-ins or not showing the settings window properly.
- Misc other bug fixes (more details available in the release logs for each plug-in).

Blue Cat Audio has updated its Analysis Plug-ins for Windows and Mac.
We are happy to announce the update of our audio analysis plugins: the new versions include RTAS plugin format support for Pro Tools users as well as 64-bit applications support for both Mac (Audio Unit) and PC (DirectX and VST). We have aslo fixed a couple of issues (mainly on Mac/Snow Leopard).
Changes in Blue Cat Analysis Plug-ins
- RTAS plugin format support for Pro Tools (Mac and Windows).
- 64-bit applications support for Windows DX and VST under Windows x64.
- Mac AU 64-bit format support (compatible with 64-bit Logic 9.1 on Snow Leopard)
- Fixed MIDI learn issues.
- Space bar does not trigger plug-in buttons anymore (avoids conflict with transport control in most applications).
- Mac: fixed user interface crashes in some hosts under Snow Leopard.
- Mac: fixed keyboard/mouse focus issues in some hosts.
- Mac: fixed user interface crashes in some hosts, when used with particular display settings.
- Mac-AU: fixed user interface resizing issue when changing skin in some hosts (Logic).

Blue Cat Audio has released a new version of the Blue Cat Freeware Pack, a collction of free audio effect plug-ins for Windows and Mac.
This new release makes these free plugins available for virtually any digital audio workstation: it includes official RTAS plugin format support for Pro Tools users.
It also brings 64-bit support for DirectX and VST versions under Windows x64, and 64-bit Audio Units support under Snow Leopard (for Logic 9.1 users running in 64-bit mode).

Blue Cat Audio has released an update for its Freeware Plugins Pack, a collection of free effect plug-ins for Windows and Mac.
This version is dedicated to 64 bits applications running under Windows x64.
The existing 32 bits and new 64 bits versions of the plugins can be installed on the same machine and will share settings. 64 bits support is in final beta stage, so the company welcomes feedback about the usage of these free plugins.
Blue Cat Audio has also announced 15 to 25% discount on their entire catalog of professional audio plug-ins until December 31, 2009. Existing customers are granted an even higher discount (40% off) on all plugi-ns as well for the same period.
