ZimMusicInc. has announced an agreement to become the exclusive North American distributor of master Turkish cymbal manufacturers Impression Cymbals.
Established in 2010, Impression Cymbals is the realization of experienced industry veterans and cymbalsmiths, offering a full line of completely hand hammered, artisan crafted cymbals produced in Istanbul, Turkey. Representing the pinnacle in quality, vision and sound, every Impression cymbal is a testament to the centuries-old craft of traditional cymbalsmithing, perfected by generations of skilled masters.
Impression offers a wide range of cymbals including: Rock, Jazz, Dry Jazz, Traditional, Mixed, Smooth, Dark, Hard and X-Hard. All cymbals are cast from Impression’s exclusive B20 formula, and are hand-crafted, lathed, and hand-hammered by skilled artisans.
Each cymbal bears a handwritten signature, along with its weight, under the bell as a confirmation of quality. With experienced drummers and percussionists managing every level of the company and production, Impression offers musical cymbals of the highest quality, made from the perspective of performing musicians.
“Impression has amazing products, a cadre of fantastic artists, and a host of accolades from the press, retailers, and end users,” remarks Mr. Zimmerman. “Their cymbals have been creating a buzz among professionals worldwide, and we are thrilled to be able to bring Impression to the U.S.A. and build upon the solid foundation they have created.”
Impression Cymbals will make its North American debut at the NAMM show in Anaheim, CA January 22nd-25th, 2015 at booth 2956 located in Hall D.

The Soundation Studio cloud based music creation app now features Soundation Songs Digital Distribution, which allows Soundation Studio users to release a song to Spotify, iTunes, Google Play and Deezer right from this sequencer in your web browser.
“Never before have you been able to make and distribute your music from one place”, says Bil Bryant CEO of Soundation. “No downloading and going to another site or service. Once you have finished your song just click “release track” and up pops a query form to fill in and upload a picture, hit release and the track renders and is sent off to the aggregation queue to the selected digital stores/services. It is so exciting to finish a track and push it out to the world directly. This integrated digital distribution service not only gives an independent artist unprecedented control over their work but it´s also a fantastic value”, continues Bryant. The Soundation Songs Distribution Service costs $20 a year and you can upload as many songs as you like while keeping 100% of your rights and royalties.
For the uninitiated, Soundation Studio is like the combination of GarageBand and Sound Cloud, a browser based sequencer with loops, real time effects, recording, virtual instruments and a community where you can publish, share and comment on tracks. Soundation Studio is also available as a Google+ Hangout app, which allows for up to 9 people to make music together with video chat.
With a million registered users and a few hundred thousand songs posted in the vibrant Soundation Community, Soundation has plans to create digital charts and other features to help stimulate listens and generate revenue for artists using the service. “Working together with community, artists can help each other in developing, collaborating and monetizing”, states Bryant.

SoundCloud has announced On SoundCloud, a new creator partner program which lays the foundation for creators to make money from their work on the platform.
As artists ourselves, Eric and I started SoundCloud with a simple vision. We wanted to develop tools for creators, help them reach fans all over the world, and shape a way we could pay the creators who fuel the growth of SoundCloud.
We’re laying this foundation by initially inviting a small group of creators to become Premier partners in the On SoundCloud program, enabling them to make money on the platform. Over time we will roll this out across the creator community.
To make this possible, we’re introducing advertising from select brand partners to SoundCloud. When someone sees or hears an ad, they’re supporting an artist. We will include ads gradually and bring on more advertisers as we grow On SoundCloud.
Everybody at SoundCloud is really excited about bringing this creator program to you. We often hear people say, ‘I’m on SoundCloud’. Now we’re happy to be able to offer even more for the millions of creators who have made it the best place in the world to share and discover music & audio.
