Cinesamples CineWinds PRO—Orchestral woodwind expansion released

Cinesamples CineWinds PRO

Cinesamples has announced the release of CineWinds PRO, an orchestral woodwind sample library for Kontakt.

You have asked and we have labored, and we are proud to announce the release of CineWinds PRO, the expansion of the popular CineWinds CORE orchestral woodwind library.

CineWinds PRO expands the orchestral woodwind section with additions of Alto Flute, Bass Flute, English Horn, Eb Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and Contrabassoon — and we also added a wide array of ethnic and period wind instruments, such as the Penny Whistle and Ulleann Pipes, performed by maestro William Lyons, who performed on the same instruments he used in many films, including Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit. CineWinds PRO was recorded at the SONY Scoring Stage and mixed by master engineer Dennis Sands.

The CineWinds PRO Expansion is now available to purchase for $399 USD. A bundle of CineWinds CORE and PRO is $649 USD. Libraries require full version of Kontakt 4.2.4.

These patches feature our new interface design, first introduced with CineWinds CORE, which includes built-in effects the Settings tab, Mapping presets (in the Articulations patch only), and five mic positions — Full Mix, Close, Room, Mid Room, and Surround.

Cinesamples CineOrch orchestral sample library for Kontakt updated

Cinesamples has announced the release of CineOrch v2, an update to the orchestral mockup enhancer for the professional composer.

Cinesamples CineOrch

While in the midst of our CineOrch Version 2 update, we decided to throw in some free additional content for you all. We’ve introduced the Vivaldi tremolos, which includes sul ponticello and regular tremolos, dynamic blending, and high cello and low violin blending. In addition to this new sample set, we’ve updated the original CineOrch library.

Changes in CineOrch v2

  • Rebuilding of ALL the loops for long notes, so there are no longer any dips in the loop points.
  • Removal of stage noises in the samples.
  • Balancing of high frequency problems.
  • Use of alternate methods to remove bad notes.
  • New Vivaldi Tremolos sample set:
    • Switch between sul ponticello and regular tremolos.
    • Use dynamic blending.
    • Have the ability to blend high cellos with low violins (you decide how much of each instrument you want to use).

CineOrch for Kontakt (full version 4+ required) is currently available to purchase for $99 USD (regular $149 USD). The update is free to current CineOrch users.

Cinesamples updates Piano in Blue for Kontakt

Cinesamples has announced the release of version 2 of Piano in Blue, a sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt, featuring a historic 1949 Steinway D piano.

Piano in Blue is an exceptional instrument with great history, and we are thrilled to announce some updates that make this piano sound even better, along with some options that allow you greater control.

Cinesamples Piano in Blue
The Steinway D Concert Grand featured in Piano in Blue was used in recordings at Columbia Records 30th Street Studios in the 50′s and 60′s, notably including Glenn Gould’s “Goldberg Variations” and “Kind of Blue” by Miles Davis.

Changes in Piano in Blue 2

  • Latency – Added a Sample Start knob, which will allow you to cut into the sample by 20ms. This feature will remove the hammer and finger noise of the instrument.
  • Tape Sample Replacement – All the samples were re-recorded through a physical Studer tape machine, and all samples have been replaced in the tape setting
  • De-noising – Extensive de-noising of all Version 1 Direct samples. Additionally, noise from F4 Velocity 101-110 has been removed.
  • Velocity 90-110 – issues with this velocity being too quiet have been fixed.
  • Added CC11 (Expression) control.

The Piano in Blue library is available to purchase for $99 USD. Full version of Kontakt 4.2+ required.
