DDMF Virtual Audio Stream

DDMF has announced the release of Virtual Audio Stream, a CD-quality virtual loopback audio driver together with a dedicated VST effect rack.

The driver makes up to four stereo cables available for routing audio between applications. The effect rack processes up to four soundcards in parallel with arbitrary chains of VST effects. This way, all audio playing on the user’s PC can be treated with VST effects.

It’s also easy to record signals from videos/DVDs etc., using either a VST recording plugin or a standalone recording software.

The virtual loopback driver (Windows PC) is available to purchase for $29 USD, the driver plus the effect rack $49 USD and the driver plus the rack plus DDMF’s IIEQPro, NYCompressor and NoLimits plugins for $99 USD.

A 30% introduction discount applies until the end of July.

DDMF IIEQPro

DDMF has released version 2.2 of IIEQPro and version 3.3 of LP10, two equalizer effect plugins for Windows and Mac.

The main change is that the separate plugins for true stereo operation have been merged into the main plugin.

There’s now a “2 chan.” button in both EQs that switches between normal and two stereo operation. Apart from that, a few minor graphics bugs have been fixed as well.

The update is free for existing users.

DDMF Chorddetector

DDMF has released Chorddetector, an mp3/wav-player with an integrated chord detection algorithm.

It’s extremely simple to use: just load the song whose chords you’re interested in, press play and see the displayed chords in realtime, so that you can play along with your instrument.

Very useful for covering songs, which, as we all know, is the basis of virtually all successful band careers!

Chorddetector for Windows and Mac is available to purchase for $15 USD. A demo version is ready for download as well.

DDMF Metaplugin

DDMF has released version 1.2 of Metaplugin, a plugin chainer for Windows and Mac.

First of all, MacOSX Universal Binaries (Audio Unit and VST) are now available. And on the Windows side, a 64 bit version has been compiled (the user should load 32 bit plugins into the 32 bit version and 64 bit plugins into the 64 bit version).

Furthermore, Metaplugin now supports up to 6 in-out-channels. Which means the user can load it, e.g., into a 5.1 channel of the host and chain plugins on all six channels (and across channels). Also, the dry/wet amount going through each of the loaded plugins can be adjusted (shift-clicking on the plugin rectangles turns them into horizontal sliders). And the overall latency that is reported back to the host is now not only visible, but can also be changed manually.

Metaplugin is available to purchase for $29 USD.

DDMF NoLimits

DDMFs has released version 1.1 of NoLimits, a mastering limiter plug-in for Windows and Mac.

While the overall ‘simple’ approach has been maintained, it is now possible to finetune the limiting algorithm to a much greater extent via an ‘advanced’ part of the user interface.

The user can now choose the lookahead, attack and release times as well as the output ceiling to his liking. Also, the internal DSP algorithm has been partly redesigned, leading to noticeaby less distortion artefacts. The transient stage of NoLimits can now be operated in linked- or non-linked stereo mode.

NoLimits for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available to purchase for $20 USD. The update is free for all existing users.

DDMF NYCompressor

DDMF has released version 2.0 of NYCompressor, a mixdown and mastering compressor effect for Windows and Mac.

The plugin has been restructured to allow for independent Left/Right or Mid/Side compression on stereo tracks. With one switch of a button, the GUI size is doubled and the second instance loaded. Of course backwards compatibility with projects using the 1.x version is assured.

Furthermore, NYCompressor is now also available for Windows 64 bit. The same goes for IIEQPro, LP10, ColourEQ, NoLimits and StereooeretS (only Metaplugin has to wait).

NYCompressor 2.0 for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available to purchase for $20 USD. Version 1.x users can upgrade for $10 USD. The x64 versions of the other effects are available for all existing users free of charge.

DDMF IIEQ

DDMF has released an update to IIEQ, its fully parametric 10-band equalizer with its own, characteristic sound and low CPU consumption.

The freeware equalizer IIEQ is now also available for Mac! It has always seemed a bit unfair that only Windows users could enjoy this legendary piece of software (jeez, it’s been five years already!). So it was about time for a Mac version. The GUI changed a bit, but under the hood it’s still our good old friend.

Furthermore, the Windows version is now also available as a 64 bit plugin. The rest of the bunch will soon follow… stay tuned!

IIEQ is available as a free download from the DDMF website.
