Diversion features

  • Sound generation – 4 oscillators with a wide range of different waveforms with a near to zero level of aliasing. Oscillators generate sounds in real-time with algorithms for optimal sound quality at high frequencies. All waveforms have two independent parameters X and Y allowing you to adjust the timbre. Includes FM, RM, wave shaping and filtering.
  • Bus processors – Two bus processors each featuring a stereo multi-filter, distortion and LO-FI section.
  • Effects – Two flexible FX lines, separate processing of each bus processor’s output. Up to 8 effect instances can be stacked in one FX line.
  • Oversampling – up to 8X oversampling within a whole processing path, excluding FX section. Models of all processing modules in Diversion are designed using at least 2X oversampling.
  • Modulation – Many parameters can be modulated by 4 LFOs, 4 ADSR Envelopes, 4 MSEGs and one XY-controller, called Master Morph. Automation and MIDI controllers are supported.
  • Arpeggiator and Trance Gate – 32-step Arpeggiator / Sequencer and a 16-step Trance Gate module.

Diversion is currently available to purchase as a VST instrument plugin for Windows (Mac and x64 version under development), at the introductory price of $150 USD excl. VAT (regular $200 USD). A free demo version is available. Demo limitations: noise sample is played every 90 seconds.

Dmitry Sches Glo2Zebra

Dmitry Sches has released Glo2Zebra, a free converter utility for u-he’s Zebra virtual synthesizer plug-in.

Glo2Zebra is the converter wich translates Native Instruments Absynth’s waveform templates into U-he Zebra’s oscillator templates.

Glo2Zebra features

  • Load up to 16 Absynth glo files into the converter to save them into a single Zebra oscillator template.
  • “Auto Increment” to automatically fill the slots with a sequence of glo files.
  • Supported Absynth 4, 5 and Zebra 2.5 (incl. betas).
  • Supported only single Absynth’s wave templates, not Morph waves.
  • This is not exact conversion. Converter applies interpolation to glo files before saving them to h2p.
  • Crisp mode is recommended for Zebra’s oscillator to minimize differences between original and converted waves.

Glo2Zebra is available as a free download for Windows PC.

Dmitry Sches Ambient Voices

Dmitry Sches has released Ambient Voices, a soundbank for the Zebra synthesizer by u-he.

Ambient Voices is a collection of 100 atmospheric patches with a layered moving sound.

The soundset includes expressive ambient soundscapes, complex FX, rich and evolving pads and rhythmic atmospheric sounds. Most of patches have assigned XY controls.

Additionally, some patches combines a fixed frequency sound generation with a traditional tune scaling. This helps Zebra to synthesize sounds with an extra key-dependent timbre.

Ambient Voices Soundset is available to purchase for $20 USD.
