XLN Audio has announced the release of Electric Grand, a new Addictive Keys piano library featuring a meticulously sampled Yamaha CP-80 electro-acoustic instrument.
Its recognizable sound can be heard on countless records from classic artists like U2, Peter Gabriel and ABBA, as well as contemporary acts like Keane and Miike Snow.
This new member of the Addictive Keys family combines three distinct characters in one instrument: The acoustic sound of hammers hitting strings, the direct line signal from the built in pickups, and finally a crunchy amped sound to add some grit to the mix.
This makes the Electric Grand very versatile and suitable for just about anything from indie rock and pop to house to R’n’B ballads.
Electric Grand features
Three disctinct characters in one.

Recorded in a large studio.

Toontrack has announced the release Retro Electric, a new EZkeys instrument for Windows and Mac.
It comes with two carefully captured and timeless electric pianos, the Hohner Clavinet D6 and the Hohner Pianet N.
Even though production since long has stopped, the complex and round sound of the Pianet and the bright staccato of the Clavinet keep resonating vividly in all corners of contemporary music production, making these Hohner classics every bit as relevant in any songwriters toolbox today as they were back when it all started. Vintage sounds never get old!
The Hohner Clavinet D6 comes to Toontrack’s EZkeys instrument.
The EZkeys Line already includes three versions of EZkeys: the stunning Grand Piano, the intimate Upright and Classic Electrics! All versions of EZkeys come with the same groundbreaking software and functionality.
EZkeys Retro Electrics for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS/Standalone) is available to purchase for $179 USD. Users who already own an EZkeys can get Retro Electrics for $89 USD.
