Gospel Musicians has announced the release of Neo-Soul EX5, an expansion for Neo-Soul Keys 3X and version 1 users.
Capitalizing from Yamaha’s vintage FDSP technology for the EX5 Synthesizer Workstations, Neo-Soul EX5 is an electric piano sample that has been ran through Yamaha’s FDSP EP Pickup technology and added to the scripting of Neo-Soul Keys. The physical modeling of the EP pickup through FDSP ads an extra realism to the sample library. In addition, running the samples through the A/D filters of the EX5 ads a character and warmth to the electric piano.
The Neo-Soul EX5 contains all of the original effects as Neo-Soul Keys, except the sustain samples contains the new EX5 samples. This makes the expansion pack a hybrid EP.
Neo-Soul EX5 is available to purchase for $29.99 USD. Requires Neo-Soul Keys V1 or Neo-Soul Keys 3X. The Neo-Soul Xpansion pack works with Kontakt 5 Player.

Coincidental Music has announced its Prism Stick and Happy Hour soundsets for the Applied Acoustics Systems Chromaphone and Lounge Lizard EP-3 software synthesizer instruments.
It’s been somewhat delayed, but at last Prism Sticks for Chromaphone is here.
In the end, as the patch count headed up way beyond the 200 mark, I thought I would end up with two patchbanks. However, I’ve whittled it down considerably and I hope you find the patches useful, inspiring and fun.
Note: Only for use with AAS Chromaphone not with AAS Player.
The Happy Hour: Exotic Cocktails soundset features 100 patches for the Lounge Lizard EP-3 virtual electric piano instrument.
I love electric pianos of all shapes and sizes. Even cheap ones can make me smile. And, while there are some really great sampled Rhodes and Wurlis out there, there’s something about Lounge Lizard that I find makes it much more fun to play. I think it’s because the slight variability in the sound makes you listen closer to what you’re playing, then react and adjust, in a way you wouldn’t do with a more regular and predictable instrument.
As I started tweaking it, I realised that there were quite a few avenues one could go down, far removed from its original purpose. Which led me to Happy Hour!
Gospel Musicians has announced the release of its Neo-Soul Keys 3X sample library for the Kontakt 5 Free Player by Native Instruments.
Neo-Soul Keys 3X is an upgrade to the original Neo-Soul Keys. Unlike the original Neo-Soul Keys which only featured a Suitcase Mark I EP, the new 3X adds a dirty Stage Mark I and a Wurlitzer emulation. More importantly, we added a ton of mechanical noises to add grit, dirt, and realism to your EP experience. Our number one goal was realism and to give you the most organic experience ever in an EP library. We went to great lengths to make sure that if you could not take your heavy electro-mechanical instrument to your gig, or session, then our EP library would be the next best thing. A heavy amount of detail, thought, and programming went into this library as it boasts almost 8.0GB of sample data using Kontakt 5′s new scripting engine and features. The details make a difference and you will clearly hear the meticulous amount of detail that went into sampling every nuance and mechanical noises necessary for a complete EP experience!
We have also added the new Mark I Stage electric piano version for the Yamaha Motif XS/XF keyboards. This version has all of the knobs that are on the Kontakt version assigned to 8-different sliders for the Yamaha Motif keyboards. This gives you a lot of power, flexibility, and realism. Our goal was to make sure that the Stage EP would sound exactly the same as the Kontakt version. For the XF, you can load your EP in the Flash boards andload one time and it stays in memory.

Rhythmic Robot has released Analog Piano, a Kontakt instrument based on an entirely analogue electronic piano.
Analog Piano is sampled from a 1970s Crumar ColorSound electronic piano, an all-analogue stage piano capable of generating three basic tones: Piano, HonkyTonk and Clav. Of these the Piano tone is by far the most musically versatile, emulating an acoustic piano to some extent but with many of the warm, earthy qualities of a Wurlitzer-type electric piano as well. Although the original Crumar ColorSound didn’t respond to keyboard velocity, the software version incorporates several crossfaded velocity layers carefully adjusted in the studio to become progressively brighter and more cutting or mellower and rounder with playing dynamics. This velocity control can be switched in or out from the front panel.
Analog Piano suits contemporary musical styles where a typical multi-sampled grand piano might feel too “classical” for the context. It is particularly effective in roots rock, electronica and dance. Included in the instrument are key effects like tube saturation and tremolo, plus an amp cab simulator with a choice of classic models and a convolved spring reverb to add extra authenticity to the vintage tones. The three presets can be switched in in any combination, and envelope control over attack and release allows for gentler pad or texture sounds to be generated.
