xoxos has announced the release of Adze, a percussion resynthesizer instrument plug-in for Windows.
Adze VST resynthesizes percussion samples by performing a single frame FFT analysis for the length of the sample, availing spectral functions alongside an extensive featureset.

Cerberus Audio has announced Epoch, a dynamic comb filter effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.
Unlike ordinary equalizers, Epoch applies its effect according to the dynamics of the program material, similar to how a compressor/gate works.
Compared with ordinary compressors: Epoch provides a greater range of tonal color, and Epoch is more reactive to its input signal than a typical static filter or equalizer.
The heart of Epoch is a high-precision comb filter employing a multi-resolution FFT phase rotator and a fractional sample delay. Epoch’s effect is regulated by a dynamics section which has been specifically designed for Epoch.
Epoch achieves unique dynamic tonal shifts, and is an alternative to conventional signal processors, such as equalizers and compressors.

Axis Plugins has announced the release of Track EQ, a precision equalizer effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.
The Track EQ is not another native software simulated tube instrument. We believe that simulating fantastic classic or retro analog hardware will degrade the sound of a whole generation. A software simulated plug-in is not able to cover the sound of an unique classic hardware where every single unit has had its own unique sound because every building part used is an unique real-world-physical-piece with great unique flaws. These flaws imprint. These flaws make the unique sound.
All those software simulations that are available will always and only be able to copy one unique classic or retro hardware unit. So in the end using a hardware simulation plug-in will make everybody using the same unit over and over again. And all uniqueness is gone.
That is why we think buying the classic or retro analog hardware is the choice to do. And after you bought this hardware and have recorded your sound on to the digital domain. That is where the Track EQ comes in. The Track EQ will not color your sound. The Track EQ lets you edit your digital data surgically.

Voxengo has released version 2.5 of SPAN, a free real-time “fast Fourier transform” audio spectrum analyzer plugin for professional music and audio production applications.
For the most part it was derived from Voxengo GlissEQ dynamic parametric equalizer and reproduces its spectrum analysis functionality.
SPAN provides you with a very flexible “mode” system which you can use to setup your spectrum analyzer preferences. You may specify Fourier block size in samples, FFT window overlap percentage, spectrum’s visual slope. Beside that you can choose to display secondary spectrum of a desired type (e.g. real-time maximum, all-time maximum). Spectrum can be smoothed out visually for an easier examination.
