Twisted Tools has announced the release of Rolodecks, an effect ensemble for Native Instruments Reaktor.

Rolodecks is a realtime dynamic, semi-modular multi-effect, made up of six effects. The Rolodecks effects are the Slicer, Flange, Filter, Delay, Reverb and Ext effects.

Ext (short for external effect), is an assignable effects slot, giving you the ability to insert your own effects and automate them! Moog has announced the Moogerfooger MF-108M Cluster Flux, a new analog fx processor.

Expansive functionality combined with warm, analog sound come from the state-of-the-art all-analog circuitry. Musical, flexible, playable, and durable, the Cluster Flux is capable of providing classic flanging, chorusing, and vibrato effects, but is also capable of a much wider range of modulated delay line effects than traditional stomp boxes in this class due to the wide range of the front panel controls, the multi-waveform LFO, as well as CV and MIDI Control.

The MF-108M Cluster Flux is more powerful than traditional chorus/flange effects offering musicians the added modulation of multiple LFO waveforms: Sine, Triangle, Square, Saw, Ramp and Random, to create many kinds of new modulated BBD Delay effects. Steinberg has introduced the Yamaha Vintage Plug-in Collection, three professional signal processing plug-in bundles based on Virtual Circuitry Modeling (VCM) technology.

Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH today are happy to announce three professional signal processing plug-in bundles which make up the newly introduced Yamaha Vintage Plug-in Collection: Vintage Channel Strip, Vintage Open Deck and Vintage Stomp Pack. The plug-ins of this unique collection have previously only been available as VCM add-on effects for high-end Yamaha digital mixers, but are now for the first time available in VST 3, VST 2.4 and AU plug-in formats for multi-instance use within digital audio workstations. The plug-ins will soon be available as boxed or download versions from the Steinberg Online Shop and as boxed versions from certified Steinberg dealers.

“With the Virtual Circuitry Modeling technology by Yamaha, we can create accurate reproductions of analog circuitry that result in hardware emulations at a quality that has never been there before,” comments Timo Wildenhain, product marketing manager at Steinberg. “The Portico plug-ins are the first to implement this technology, which we’ve now complemented with Yamaha Vintage Plug-in Collection,” adds Wildenhain.
The Vintage Channel Strip comprises three plug-ins: EQ 601, Compressor 260 and Compressor 276, reproducing the sound characteristics of several classic Yamaha hardware equalizers and compressors from the 1970s.

The Vintage Open Deck recreates the analog circuitry and characteristics of four legendary tape recorders: Swiss ’70, Swiss ’78, Swiss ’85 and American ’70. For an even wider range of variation, the characteristics can be individually applied to the record and playback decks.

Vintage Stomp Pack recreates several analog hardware effects, bringing back the punchy sound of the 1970s. Consisting of three phaser plug-ins (Dual Phaser, Yamaha Phaser and Max 100), one Yamaha flanger and one first-class wah-effect, this bundle boosts the musical creativity of guitarists, producers and sound designers alike.

The Lower Rhythm has announced the release of Basilisk, a multiband univibe effect plugin for Windows.

Basilisk is a full stereo, two channel multiband ‘vibe’ style effect geared towards electric piano, strings, pads and guitars. The wet channel passes your signal through a 9-Band Equalizer, each band being modulated at an independently set rate with an adjustable waveform (4 choices). In addition, each band has a knob for adjusting the bandwidth for its dedicated center frequency. Next, your signal is fed into a stereo chorus effect (5 selectable waveforms) capable of everything from smooth flange to a glitchy blitter — and for those more ‘crusty’ moods, a very fat lowpass filter is right there in order to trim off some of the highs.

All that’s left is to mix and match your wet and dry signals with two independent volume knobs in order to find that perfect blend.
