Time+Space has announced the release of Lost Tapes Vol 2, a new sample library by Freshtone Samples.

Freshtone Lost Tapes Vol 2

Fired by nostalgia, moving bass lines, funky horns, slinky guitars, retro keys and the gestures of soul, this brand new collection encapsulates all the wholesome goodness of an iconic era in music.

Recorded at Gizzard studios in London’s East End, using their rare Alice Stancoil early 1970’s AM series quadrophonic mixer, and put to tape on a Studer A80 2″ 16 track and a Studer A80 ¼” machine, Lost Tapes 2 presents a host of vintage instruments.

The Hammond B3, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, a rare early Hofner Violin Bass, a Burns Sonic Bass, vintage Gibson 335 and Fender Telecaster through an old 1968 Marshall 50 watt combination and WEM Dominator amps all feature, plus, for the first time, the Freshtone brass section makes its debut with trumpet, sax and flute adding sparkle and bite to each of the 40 compositions.
Immerse yourself somewhere between 1967 and 1973 and get creative!

Lost Tapes Vol 2 is available to purchase exclusively from Time+Space for the introductory price of £39.95 GBP / 47.95 EUR.

Freshtone releases Vintage Drums: The Fills

Freshtone Vintage Drums: The Fills

Freshtone has released Vintage Drums: The Fills, a sample library featuring drum fills.

With their debut release The Lost Tapes Vol 1 proving to be Time+Space’s biggest selling sample library of 2011, there have been high expectations for Freshtone’s second release – Vintage Drums: The Fills – and it doesn’t disappoint.

Having initially aimed to produce a couple of hundred prime fills, Freshtone had such great sessions in the studio that they just kept going. This package includes 1,500 files encompassing not only the fills themselves but full drum breaks, rides, hats and percussion too.

These loops are full of soul, and Freshtone hope they represent an exemplary and definitive collection which will meet all expectations. As well as conventional time signatures users will find some unusual ones, as well as styles that are otherwise fairly uncharted on more conventional packages.

Like The Lost Tapes, this latest collection was recorded in a true vintage analogue environment with drummers Emre Ramazanoglu and William Bowerman.

In addition to the usual WAV/Aiff/Acid WAV/Rex 2 formats, Freshtone have listened to their users and have also included full multisampled, velocity sensitive kits for EXS24, Halion and Kontakt in the download version.

This is a truly comprehensive selection that will fit neatly into your production arsenal.

Vintage Drums: The Fills is now available to download exclusively from Time+Space for RRP: £39.95 / €47.95 EUR. The DVD package will be shipping on 21st October, 2011.
