Inear Display BowEcho

Inear Display has released BowEcho, a modular delay effect plug-in for Windows.

BowEcho is a modular sound mangler based on 4 delay lines. It offers a large palette of sound design options thanks to 4 LFOs that can run at control or audio rate, 4 Mixers that can also act as gainers, basic filters, ringmodulators or stereo splitters, and the ability to route the output of each module the way you want. For example the LFOs can act as raw oscillators that can be used to ringmodulate the feedback path of a delay line. The delay times can be modulated over a wide range to generate noisy glitches or basic pitchshifting of the input.

BowEcho is a versatile delay plugin that can adapt to your sonic needs : use it as a simple flanger with only one delay and one LFO, or go crazy and route all modules in absurd ways to produce creepy screaming drones.

BowEcho features

  • 4 delay lines with optional tempo sync.
  • 4 “mixers” that can also act as gainers, basic filters, ringmodulators and stereo splitters.
  • 4 LFOs with optional tempo sync and the ability to run at audio rate.
  • flexible modular routing.
  • MIDI learn.
  • MIDI program change support.
  • Vector based resizable user interface.
  • Cross-platform presets.
  • 62 factory presets by Ivo Ivanov, Daed, and Apparition.
  • Lifetime free updates for registered customers.

BowEcho for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available to purchase for the introductory price of 10 EUR until October 6th, 2013 (regular 20 EUR).

JC Productionz Simple Stutter Pro

JC Productionz has released the Simple Stutter and Simple Stutter Pro effect plug-ins for Windows.

This is a stuttering vst plugin for PC, which will give you that kool stutter effect used by artitsts like Skrillex/BT & countless others.

Simple Stutter doesn’t freeze the audio buffer but rather samples the incoming audio, then you can change the pitch and speed to your liking. It took several months to perfect the engine driving Simple Stutter

Simple Stutter features

  • Stutter preview button.
  • 20 octaves of pitch control.
  • Small and compact.
  • CPU efficient.
  • Automation of main controls.
  • Simple to use.
  • Control via MIDI CCs.

Simple Stutter for Windows (VST) is freeware.

A Pro version of Simple Stutter is also available.

The big difference between Simple Stutter Pro and Simple Stutter is that this pro version can be played with your midi keyboard, you just insert Simple Stutter Pro on the desired audio track then point your midi track to send midi to Simple Stutter Pro, this greatly simplifies your stuttering work cause you will be recording midi notes.

Simple Stutter Pro also has a filter with pitch and resonance control, an LFO and a bit crusher to dirty up the sound. And exclusive to the pro version is the “Pounder”, akin to a natural compression effect. Using pounder will result in a more subtle stutter effect which is useful in situations where you want the stutter effect to blend in more.

Stutter Edit Pro costs $12 USD.

Loomer updates Sequent to v1.3.11

Loomer Sequent

Loomer has updated the Sequent modular multi-effects unit to version 1.3.11.

Sequent has seven individual effect blocks: a Beat Looper; two Filters, both switchable between lowpass, bandpass, and highpass modes and capable of self oscillation even without an audio input; an oversampled Distortion unit; a Gate with variable depth and slew; a Panner; and a Delay unit capable of sub millisecond delay times, great for creating everything for from dub, slapback, and bouncing ball style echoes, to metallic comb filters or flanger effects.

Changes in Sequent v1.3.11

  • (fix: Mac OS X) Cables between effect modules can now be removed using a single button mouse.
  • (fix: Mac OS X) Fixed issue which could cause Sequent to be skipped by Kore or Maschine’s plug-in scan.
  • (fix: Mac OS X Audio Unit) Space key-presses will now always be passed through to Logic, ensuring that Logic’s transport can be started and stopped.
  • (fix: Mac OS X) Gatekeeper signed installers now install correctly on Mac OS X 10.5.
  • (improvement: Windows) The 32-bit and 64-bit VST plug-ins are now installed as separate components. You can choose which one(s) to install, as well as selecting different install folders for each architecture.
  • (fix: Mac OS X Audio Unit) Fixed issue which caused Reaper to host new instances of Sequent as a mono plug-in.
  • (fix: Mac OS X Audio Unit) Fixed minor memory leak in parameter names.
  • (improvement) Clearer UI fonts in various places.
  • (improvement: Linux) Presets and configuration files are now located to comply with the XDG Base Directory Specification. Older installations will still use any existing preset library location to maintain backwards compatibility.

Sequent for Windows, Mac and Linux is available to purchase for £49 GBP.
