Plugin Boutique has announced the launch of its new Free Plugins Area, offering instrument and effect plug-ins from various developers.

Featuring all types of plugins including Bit Crushers, Chorus, Delay, Filters, Distortion, EQ, Drum Machines, Flangers, Gates, Limiters, Phasers, Modulators, Synths, Mastering Tools and much more including charts to show you the most downloaded and top rated.

Once you are signed up at the site you simply select the plugins you want and they are added to your account to download, and what’s more you will also be notified when any of them are updated so you always have the most current versions of them on your computer. If you have the time you can also rate the plugins on a variety of merits in order to help fellow producers choose the best plugins for themselves.

Currently the new free area has plugins from companies including Inear Display, 7air Media, Vladgsound, Distorque, Sinevibes, Melda, Variety of Sound, Softrave, Blue Cat Audio, Minimal System Instruments, GTG Synths and many more.

GTG Synths has announced the release of NR2010, a free virtual synthesizer instrument plug-in for Windows.

Made mainly for personal use. A good old analog polysynth with a 24dB filter, snappy envelopes and nice mod effects. My personal workhorse-synth free for all soon.

GTG Synths has also announced it will stop the development of the GTG Synths series.

It has been big fun developing VST Synths for the music fraternity. I am pleased to have been able to provide a fair share of user satisfaction and credibility on both custom synths and serial synths despite having not fully met all ”emulation” requirements.Thanks a lot for the inspiration , support and encouragement!

GTG Synths has released the GTG K1.3, a remake of the K1 virtual synthesizer plug-in for Windows.

GTG Synths has released PD 9, a freeware VST instrument for Windows PC.

I always liked the SE Phase Distortion Oscillator. But somehow I also felt it had its limitations. For instance, some combinations of waves created unpleasant rumble or odd harmonics. Also I was missing enough deep bass with some patches.

That`s why I tried to make a PD synth with a bit more attitude.

PD 9 features

• Simple Phase Distortion synth, decicated to 70′s bass and lead sounds.
• Fast envelopes, a snappy pitch modulation function and a sine wave sub-oscillator, slightly detuned.
• Two inter-modulating oscillators.
• Pitch Mod Envelope creates snappy crunches or brassy attacks to the sound.
• Low cut filter, delay, chorus, equalizer.
