HeadlessBuddha Samples Tape Music Box

How wonderful can a simple musical toy be?

Well, I think there’s no other toy in this world that creates such a magical, mystical, and somehow mysterious sound, so we decided to record it in our own style.

Tape Music Box certainly fits greatly into Soundtrack music, EDM, Meditation music, Psychedelic rock, Baroque pop, and many other genres with its unique character and lovely feel.

Tape Music Box features features

  • 41 samples (92.5MB) with 2 or 3 layers depending on the note.
  • G1 to C6 extension.
  • 1 Kontakt instrument.
  • 44.1kHz/24 bit .wav format.
  • Natural decay.
  • All recorded through cassette tape.
  • A set of 17 custom impulse responses.

The sample library is available for $5.49 USD.

HeadlessBuddha Samples releases Lo-Fi Wurly

HeadlessBuddha Samples has launched Lo-Fi Wurly, a virtual Wurlitzer piano instrument for Native Instruments Kontakt.

HeadlessBuddha Samples Lo-Fi Wurly

Few months ago, Sanches got his hands into his friend’s 200A Wurlitzer to record some lines for his psychedelic rock project. That Wurly sounded so raw and full of character and soul to his ears that he decided to keep some samples for him. He used two sets of gear to record these samples: The first was pretty lo-fi-ish and gritty; the second was more of a warm and semi-clean recording.

Lo-Fi Wurly features

  • 1 Kontakt instrument.
  • 4 Velocity layers.
  • A custom GUI with 4 effects (distortion, phaser, delay and convolution reverb).
  • 550 MB of 44.1kHz/16 bit .wav format samples.
  • All recorded on an old cassette tape recorder.
  • A set of 17 custom impulse responses.
  • Custom vibrato script controlled via Mod-wheel.

The sample library is available to purchase for $16 USD.

HeadlessBuddha Samples releases Tape DD-10 free pack

HeadlessBuddha Samples has announced Tape DD-10, a free drum machine library for Native Instruments Kontakt.

Tape DD-10

‘What a cool old dirty drum machine!’– Me about the Yamaha DD-10 when I first saw it some years ago.

This is really a charming lo-fi low cost 8-bit drum machine released in 1988 aimed at the home market and I really love it. I’m writing in first person because I wanted to get really personal about this one. This is one of my all time favorites and it’s the sample pack I use the most when it comes to drum machines.

Tape DD-10 features

  • 75 Samples (three round robins on each drum).
  • 1 Kontakt instrument.
  • 44.1kHz/24 bit .wav format.
  • All recorded through tape.
  • Bonus: 17 personal impulse responses to make your sound even more unique. One of them was even recorded through tape too.

The sample pack is a free download from the HeadlessBuddha Samples Facebook (no like required).

HeadlessBuddha Samples releases Lo-Fi Wurly Lite for Kontakt

HeadlessBuddha Samples Lo-Fi Wurly Lite

HeadlessBuddha Samples has announced the release of Lo-Fi Wurly Lite, a virtual electric piano library for Native Instruments Kontakt.

Lo-Fi Wurly Lite has less resources than it’s full version, having one less velocity layer (3) and a much simpler GUI, resulting in a much lower cpu and memory usage, and a very little loss in the instrument’s dynamics. Of course, it’s price is lower too!

Lo-Fi Wurly Lite features

  • 1 Kontakt instrument.
  • 3 Velocity layers (one less than the full version).
  • No GUI (just a background image).
  • 400 MB.
  • 44.1kHz/16 bit .wav format.
  • All recorded on an lo-fi cassette tape recorder.
  • Note: Does not include custom set of Impulse responses.

The Lo-Fi Wurly Lite is available to purchase for $10 USD.

HeadlessBuddha Samples releases Coffee Cups Percussion for Kontakt

Coffee Cups Percussion for Kontakt

HeadlessBuddha Samples has launched Coffee Cups Percussion, a virtual instrument library for Native Instruments Kontakt.

We love coffee almost as much as we love vintage gear. Once upon a time, Sanches was listening to some of his recorded ideias for a new psychedelic rock project while having a cup of coffee and started drumming almost automatically while the song kept going.

The ideia for the Coffee Time Series came from this moment. He thought:
- Hey, I have a lot of cups around the house! I could make an awesome percussion instrument with it!
So he got five of these cups in different sizes, weights, and materials and recorded a track for his new song (which still unreleased). After doing that, thought it would be useful to make a Kontakt instrument out of these five cups, and so he made it. He got his little spoon and experimented with it by hitting the cups in different positions and different areas.

Coffee Cups Percussion features

  • 92 Samples (six different combinations of spoon position and cup area on each of the five cups and three velocity layers on each combination plus two effects).
  • 1 Kontakt instrument.
  • 15.5 MB.
  • 44.1kHz/16 bit .wav format.
  • All recorded on an old cassette tape recorder.

The library is available to purchase for $4 USD. Until Saturday October 19th, you can get it for free when sharing on Facebook or Twitter.
