Related: , , , , , Posted in news on Jul 18, 2014 - comment 0 comments

HoRNet has announced the release of Sybilla Pro, an advanced version of the Sybilla de-esser effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.

HoRNet PlugIns Sybilla Pro

Sybilla Pro is a multi filter de-esser, unlike other traditional de-essers Sybilla Pro has 8 different tunable filters to effectively find the offending sibilance and feed the compressor that will reduce it.

Sybilla Pro is a wideband de-esser, the compressor stage is driven by the sum of the output of the active filters above the threshold so that if the sibilance moves in frequency Sybilla Pro can follow it and never miss it.

Sybilla Pro features

  • Intelligent relative threshold.
  • Eight filters for sibilance detection.
  • Adjustable frequency and level for each filter.
  • Switch to turn on and off each filter.
  • Key listen for the entire filter bank and each of the filters.
  • Meters for each filter.
  • Instantaneous gain reduction meter with peak hold.
  • Two different compression modes.
  • Attack and release setting for the compressor stage
  • Dry/wet knob.

Sybilla for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS) is available for purchase for 21.99 EUR. An upgrade path is available for owners of Sybilla.

HoRNet Plug-Ins updates Magnus limiter to v1.1.0

Related: , , , , , Posted in news on Jun 13, 2014 - comment 0 comments

HoRNet Plug-Ins has released version 1.1.0 of Magnus, a brickwall limiter effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.

HoRNet Magnus

Magnus is a 2 stages brick-wall limiter, its purpose is to make your tracks the loudest possible.

To achieve this the limiting process is divided in two steps: the first is a clipper, hard or soft, that let you cut away those small peaks that nobody is going to hear, the second is a limiter with a fixed threshold of -0.2dB.

Changes in Magnus v1.1.0

  • New fast gain reduction meters with peak hold.
  • Output level control.
  • Gain readout on clipper and limiter knobs.
  • Improved oversampling algorithm.
  • Fixes for crashes on some hosts.

Magnus for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS) is available for purchase for 19.99 EUR. The update is free for all the existing owners.

HoRNet Plug-Ins releases DeeLay effect plugin

Related: , , , , , Posted in news on Apr 17, 2014 - comment 0 comments

HoRNet Plug-Ins has launched HoRNet DeeLay, a vintage digital dub delay effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.

HoRNet DeeLay

The vintage button gives the HoRNet DeeLay that typical early 90s sound where digital was still imperfect and with a character of its own.

The DeeLay can make endless feedback loops and changing the delay time changes the pitch of the buffer creating funny and interesting noises, the time parameter can be modulated with an LFO allowing the creation of futuristic wobbling sounds.

Since the delay is digital it has all the robotic artifacts of modulated digital delays instead of the smooth action of an analog emulated delay.

Try it on vocals, guitars or anything that needs space, the HoRNet DeeLay will surprise you with it’s spacey yet focused sound.

HoRNet DeeLay features

  • Delay time up to 5000ms.
  • Sync mode from 1/16th to 1bar.
  • Capable of endless delay generation.
  • LFO from 0.1Hz to 10Hz.
  • Time modulation.
  • Vintage mode with 12bit ADC emulation.
  • Mac OS X (>=10.5 intel only) and Windows support.
  • 64bit compatibility both on Mac and Windows.
  • Audio Units VST2.4, VST3 and RTAS format.

HoRNet DeeLay is available for purchase for 7.99 EUR.

HoRNet Plug-Ins releases VCA dynamics plugin

Related: , , , , , Posted in news on Mar 13, 2014 - comment 0 comments
HoRNet VCA

HoRNet Plug-Ins has announced the release of VCA, a new dynamics effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.

VCA offers a toolkit for controlling the track level, it can work as a simple Voltage Controlled Amplifier using a control signal in its sidechain input. Starting from there you can add functionality like an envelope follower on the control signal, with attack and release ranging from 10ms to 3000ms or an RMS module.

The VCA acts only if the control signal is above the set threshold that goes from -80dB to 0dB, above this threshold positive or negative gain, which can be scaled by a specific control, is applied.

You can also transform VCA in a complete compressor or expander using its input or its output as control signal for feedback or feedforward compression/expansion.

VCA features

  • Internal (input and output) and external reference.
  • Positive and negative gain adjustment with gain scaling.
  • Absolute or relative gain detection.
  • Optional envelope detector with times raging from 1ms to 3000ms.
  • Optional RMS detection.
  • Graphical gain adjustment display.
  • Mac OS X (>=10.5 intel only) and Windows support.
  • 64bit compatibility both on Mac and Windows.
  • Audio Units VST2.4, VST3 and RTAS format.

The plug-in is available to purchase for 13.99 EUR.

HoRNet Plug-Ins SW43EQ

HoRNet Plug-Ins has released SW34EQ, an analog modeled equalizer effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.

SW34EQ is an equalizer coming straight from the 80s. It’s the digital version of the EQ found in an American console and it features the typical analog EQ sound and controls.

This plug-in is specifically modeled after one channel of this console used in the main room of Virus Studio in Siena, Italy. This EQ is very smooth and gentle, both in the EQ shapes (bells and shelves) and it’s almost perfect for general tone shaping, especially the low shelf gives weight to the sound without pumping it too much.

You also get an high-pass filter at 40Hz with 18dB/oct slope that can be activated even if the rest of the EQ is not.

SW34EQ features

  • 4 band equalizer.
  • high and low shelf filters.
  • 2 parametric filters with three different Q.
  • low cut filter at 40Hz with 18/dB octave slope.
  • analog emulation with saturation and hiss.
  • Mac OS X (>=10.5 Intel) and Windows support.
  • 64-bit compatibility both on Mac and Windows.
  • Audio Units VST2.4, VST3 and RTAS format.

The plug-in is available to purchase for 17.99 EUR.

Sybilla features

  • Automatic de-essing.
  • Adjustable effect amount.
  • 6 different detection filters.
