The “Intel Superstars 2011 Competition” invites musicians and producers to submit original music in six genre-based competitions: Rock, Pop, Country, Singer-Songwriter, Urban, and Latin.
All submissions will be ranked by fans through OurStage’s patented judging technology, with prize packages awarded to the First Place winners from each genre-based competition. One Grand Prize Winner will be selected by a panel of industry experts from amongst the Top 10 overall ranked artists.
More than $35,000 in prize packages will be awarded to the First Place winners, including Intel® Core™ i7™ processor-based Orange Amplification OPC’s, Cakewalk SONAR X1 Production Suite Software, Gibson Guitars, Blue Microphone’s Yeti professional USB mic, as well as promotion to the millions of OurStage.com and Intel fans. In addition, one lucky fan will win a Gibson USA Firebird X Guitar. The Grand Prize Winner will receive $10,000 in cash that can be used to record an album, tour the country, fix up the band van, pay the rent, or anything else a ”Superstar” would need.

On September 1, 2010 the Intel “Superstars” Competition invited artists to submit original music in the Latin, Urban, and Singer/Songwriter genres. The submitted tracks were judged by fans of the Intel® Facebook page and awarded the top five ranked artists from prize packages that include Intel® Core™ processor-based PCs, Cakewalk SONAR Producer Software, V-Studio 100 & V-Studio 20 recording solutions.
Now, the top 20 artists from the Latin, Urban, and Singer/Songwriter music genres, along with the Intel “Superstars” Competition on the rock, pop and country genres automatically advance to the Intel “Superstars” Finals Competition for a chance to win the Grand Prize of $10,000 cash! That money can be used to record an album, tour the country, fix up the band van, pay the rent, or anything else a ”Superstar” would need. The submitted tracks will be judged by fans of Intel’s Facebook page with 31 prizes —five winners from each genre and one Grand Prize— to be awarded. More than $50,000 in prize packages will be available, including Intel Core -processor based computers, Cakewalk SONAR Producer Software, V-Studio 100 & V-Studio 20 recording solutions, and promotion to the millions of OurStage.com and Intel fans. The Grand Prize is $10,000 cash that can be used to record an album, tour the country, fix up the band van, pay the rent, or anything else a ”Superstar” would need.
Entrance in the “Superstars” competition is free but is limited to residents of the United States. Submissions may be created using any recording solution. Musicians and fans without recording software can download a fully-functioning 30-day trial version of SONAR Producer. The competition opens for Pop, Rock and Country on July 1 and runs through August 31, 2010 (song submission deadline is August 22). Entrants can submit an original song at http://www.facebook.com/intel. The next three genres for competition — Singer-Songwriter, Urban and Latin — will begin September 1 and run through October 31, 2010 (with a submission deadline of October 22). After the genre programs complete, the Top 5 in each genre competition will receive prize packs. Additionally, the Top 20 of every music format will also roll into a Grand Prize competition with details to be announced shortly.
