Kent Sandvik has released Kent Loop Collection Vol 8 – Tec Synth, a free sample pack.

This is a collection of various synthesizer AppleLoops. 30 moog modular SW plugin loops, 30 NI Absynth, 30 Vanguard and 15 OSCar loops.

They are very techno pattern centric even if some of the other loops are athmosperic and melodic.

Kent Sandvik has released Cheeze Machine, a new volume in his series of free loop collections.

This is a collection of Cheeze Machine string AppleLoops. Cheeze Machine is a free VST/AU plugin available on Internet. Use these in case you want seventies style cheesy string sounds and arrangements. This set also has the corresponding MIDI files in case you get tired of the cheesy strings and want some other synth patch to be used.

The Cheeze Machine sample pack (Apple Loops) is available to download at no cost.

Kent Sandvik has released Kent Loop Collection Vol 6 – EMS Synthi, a free sample pack featuring loops created with the virtual modular XILS 3 synthesizer by XILS-lab.

EMS Synthi was a portable synthesizer done in the early seventies by EMS, used by Pink Floyd, Todd Rundgren, Steve Hillage and other similar artist.

This volume contains 50 synthi-like loops made with XILS Labs XILX 3 plug-in in the tradition of synthi-like sounds, sequencer patterns, odd bleeps, effects, as well as leads and bass lines.

Some of the loops use a compressor but most of them are clean so you could experiment with various compressor and other effect settings.

Kent Loop Collection Vol 6 is available as a free download. Note: You are not allowed to make crappy music with these loops. Make hippie-electro music with these loops.

Kent Sandvik has released Kent Loop Collection Volume 5 – Varispeed Guitar, a free collection of loops.

This volume contains 50 guitar loops made with Logic’s varispeed. Basically you speed down 50% during recording and set it back to normal levels when creating the loops. This means that the pitch and speed picks up. The sounds is resembling high-pitched 12-string guitars or similar guitar comps and lines used by XTC and similar bands.

The last loops, from 42 forward, are arpeggiato lines. Theses guitar tracks were recorded as clean with a Stratocaster, all 50 loops done in one single recording session, no additional editing was done. This means you could add effects, guitar amps or even tighten or un-tighten the loops with Logic’s flex tool, Ableton Live or similar tools.

Kent Sandvik has released another free sample pack: Kent Loop Collection Vol 4 – Battery Drum Loops.

This contains 50 loops made with NI’s Battery 4 drum plug-in. They are four bars long with various bpm values.

These are very much experimental drum patterns for exploration and new ideas instead of doing yet another electro house set of drum loops.

The sample pack is available as a free download as long as you don’t make crappy music with these loops.

Kent Sandvik has released Kent Loop Collection Vol 3 – Experimental Guitar, a new free sample pack.

This contains 50 loops made with NI’s Guitar Rig 4 as well as the Logic Amps and pedal simulations, in addition to using various other plugins for more effects. These are either eight or four bar long with variations so you could use the beginning, tail, middle, or everything.

You could use these for ambient work, experimental work, pop with character or anything else.
