SampleTekk has launched ST-Clav, a virtual clavinet instrument library for Native Instruments Kontakt.
Hohner Clavinet D6 ©, has for years been putting the onk in funk, but with it’s distinct timbre, unique design and great respons, it’s been a tonal tool for musicians in many genres.
Being a string instrument that uses single coil pickups, this instrument was built to be played through an amp. So, naturally, we recorded it that way. Using a Fender Twin © tube amp makes this instrument sound the way it was intended.
- All 4 microphone combinations.
- Recorded through a tube amplifier.
- More the 5Gb of pristine 24 bit stereo samples.
- Over 4800 Samples.
- 16 velocity levels, matching release samples and 3 round robin hammerback noise.
The library is available to purchase for the introductory price of $24.50 USD until February 24th, 2014 (regular $49.99 USD).
All other electric piano libraries are also available from SampleTekk at a 50% discount, during the introductory period.

unEarthed Sampling has launched Antique Metal Percussion (AMP), a unique Kontakt sample library which is derived from banging (lightly) on a handful of metal antique items.
Some of the items heard in this sample library are “one of a kind” and include an old iron bedrail, a library book cart, an old seaside lantern from the North East, a “Childs” brand copper fire extinguisher from the turn of the century, a WWII .50 Caliber Metal Ammunition Box, and even a decommissioned WWII Mk27 Hand Grenade.
AMP strives to set itself apart from the rest by bringing you extremely cinematic sounds from a handful of interesting metal antique items, each of which has their own personality and timbre. These patches are meant to sound great and be usable right out of the box. But should you want to tinker a bit with them the included GUI makes it very easy to tweak a handful of the most important parameters and includes toggle able convolution reverb (with 13 custom and selectable impulse responses), a built in Arpeggiator, pitch control, control of the attack and release of each instrument, ability to control the low, med, and hi EQ range. On top of that, every hit has 4 X round robins to help fight repetition and all of the instruments are velocity sensitive.
Each instrument has its own “master patch” which consists of each hit set recorded for that specific item. They also have a handful of pitch shifted and manipulated counterpart patches as well. There are also many FX patches for your enjoyment, including a scrapes and FX patch (consisting of nearly 30 unique scrape recordings), an “ensemble hits” patch which consists of several hits between the different instruments layered together which can sound huge. unEarthed Sampling even took things into deep and twisted territory and mangled some of the session recordings into looping atonal pads and multiple lengths of reversals with the mod wheel mapped to the filter… these can work well for scene transitions, building tension, and can sound absolutely horrifying.
The sample library is available to purchase for the introductory price of $31 USD for the first week (regular $40 USD).

YummyBeats has launched Massive Evolutions II, a sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt.
Massive Evolutions II is more than a sample based synthesizer, since it is quite as functional as usual synths. It uses several Envelope Generators, LFOs, Filters and it has a basic FX section. You can also assign custom MIDI controllers to each knob or button.
Of course Kontakt still remains a sampler, but the extendible sound pool – and the controllable parameters via MIDI controllers give a sufficient synthesizer feeling.
Massive Evolutions II features
- 1.4 GB of innovative & post-processed sounds which can’t be found in any regular Synth Leads, (Neuro)Basses, Arpeggios, Pads, FX…
- Upgradeable, new presets will be offered over time.
- Innovative concept, load up to 10 presets and swap them via dynamic key-switches.
- Great for Electronic Music with heavy Synth swappings like Dubstep, NeuroFunk, Modern Cinematic Music e.g. TV Commercials.
- Creative freedom, create your own presets.

Aria Sounds has announced the release of Aria Violinist, a virtual solo violin instrument library for Native Instruments Kontakt.
This violin Kontakt instrument was recorded in the same brilliant hall as our solo cellist, so not only does the quality of the sound uphold, but it also workd together seamlessly with the cello, as they sound in the same space.
The violinist recording these samples has full control and musicality over their instrument, and it comes through in these samples when they are played. Each note was played and recorded with care and attention, and likewise, later programmed to bring out the best in the samples in use through Kontakt sampling.
Aria Violinist features
- 3 Dynamic levels with alternating up and down bowing for ultra natural sound.
- True specifically recorded legato intervals between notes, also programmed for maximum playability.
- Staccato and legato playability.
- Crossfading dynamics via mod wheel or MIDI CC1.
The library is available to purchase for the introductory price of £15 GPB for a limited time (RRP £30 GBP). Requires full version of Kontakt 5 or higher.

Spitfire Audio has launched Andy Findon – Kit Bag, a new Producer’s Portfolio series sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt by Andy Findon.
Andy’s Kit Bag is an introduction to the marvelous world of Andy and his amazing collection of ethnic flutes and other woodwinds. 5 new deep sampled esoteric instruments IN ONE PACK. Recorded “The Spitfire Way” in our new facility in King’s Cross central London, with mixable selection of the finest valve, ribbon and perspective mics, via world-class Neve pre-amps and Cranesong A/D converters.
Each instrument contains essential articulations that best characterise both instrument and player alongside some incredible “artisan” articulations that bring Andy’s flutes to life whilst still obeying the direction of your composition. Andy’s Kit Bag is ingeniously scripted to spring to life straight out of the box. For ease of use, and alongside standard articulation switching, are beautifully designed “performance patches” that respond intelligently to the way you play.
Included in this collection are 5 of his most requested gems from his endless collection of curiosities: Fujara, Ocarina, Chinese Bamboo Flute, the haunting Contrabass Flute and a simply spectacular Shakuhachi.
The library is available to purchase for the introductory price of £75 GBP until February 28th, 2014 (25% off RRP £99 GBP). Requires full version of Kontakt 4.2.4 or higher.
