KX77FREE has released version 1.1 of Kx-PolyM-CSE, a free synthesizer instrument for Windows.
Kx-PolyM-CSE is a vintage modular polyphonic synthesizer with CV/GATE sequencer and CS70M emulation.
Changes in Kx-PolyM-CSE v1.1
55 KX’s presets added.
Now the LFO envelope is reseted correctly like the original.
No LFO synchronization with the host if the LFO envelope controls the LFO speed, only the host tempo value is used to control the LFO speed.
Values under the BAR for the envelope synchronization with the host tempo.
Improvement of the Scope by setting its rate to 15 hz.
Improvement of x16 files loading when the plug-in is initialized.
Fixed: Now after a Prg Change the plug-in plays the first MIDI note.
Fixed: The resonance is decreased following the output of Sv filters to avoid an overflow of these filters when the Noise modulates the Cut off and the resonance level is upper than 8 (SvLp, SvHp, SvBp, SvBr).
KX77FREE has launched Kx-PolyM-CSE, a vintage modular polyphonic synthesizer instrument for Windows.
This one is a special work to implement a CS70M emulation and the x16 sequencer inside a modular VA. Even if the CS70 used for the tests is broken (some voices and keys are HS, no split, …), I could work nicely and really check this piece of synthesizer story. I really appreciated to go to the past… I added some “CS” offsets to the initial values of my usual setting, created the waveforms, modified the Lfo, etc, to match with the original synthesizer. Of course, you can use this plug-in like you want with or without the “CS” offsets.
I love the vintage japanese synthesizers because generally they have more creative parameters.
The particularity of this CS is its two channels (for each: 1 VCO, 1 VCF, 1 VCA) which provide nice stereo pads. And its Vcos are not Dcos (like those of 80′s synths), so the detune between the two Vcos and each voice creates rich chorus fx to build nice organs or string ensembles. But the great features of this vintage synthesizer are: the Lfo which generates a frequency modulation up to 500 hz controlled by the AD envelope and the Sine oscillators of the Vcas which create a solid base of the sounds using Bp or Hp filters.
The Kx-PolyM-CSE for Windows (VST) is a free download.
KX77FREE has released version 1.52 of the Kx-PolyMod, a vintage modular polyphonic synthesizer plug-in with stereo SF2 player.
Changes in Kx-PolyMod v1.52
New SFO compatible with the PAN feature of SF2 banks.
New SSE2 SEM modules, up to 7% CPU won (min requirement >= Athlon K8 and P4).
Improvement of the loading of large SF2 banks.
Vcfs: possibility to replace the parameter “Master Cut” (F1 and F2) by a simple Cut off (F1).
Improvement of the Fx: new sources of modulation, new SV filter (2 to 4 poles), dry level added.
Filter Fx: now it is not necessary to set the resonance to half in LP mode to have a flat response curve.
Lfo: peak follower added to smooth the Sample and Hold signal.
Some automation names corrected.
All notes are stopped when the selectors “P Max” or “P Note” are modified
Fixed bug: The plug-in was overloaded when the distortion was oversampled if the sustain level, the release time of the Vca Eg were set to 0 and also when the Pan was on the left or on the right (too small signal level to the oversampled distortion).
Kx-PolyMod for Windows (VST) is available to download at no cost.
KX77FREE has announced the release of Kx-PolyMod, a free virtual analog modular synthesizer instrument for Windows.
It is a new analog modular synthesizer with SF2 player, a mix between the Kxpm and the Kx-Synth-x16… I wanted to update the Kxpm23 but finally I built a new plug-in. 5 months of work! The presets are very vintage, include Mini and CS leads. A little drum set of 12 instruments in 24 bits (3.3 mo) is provided inside the setup or the zip.
Create the sounds of analog 70′s leads with the Kx-PolyMod synthesizer plugin.
Up to 6 voices.
15*12 Matrix controlled by 5*5 Sub matrix, include 4 Kxmod sources!
5 Vcos with 5 waveforms, include the TriSaw, with Phase modulation and Sync (Vco1 only).
Oscillators 100% compatible with the Kx-Modulad’s waveforms (med, 498k).
1 Stereo SF2 player (16 and 24 bits).
1 SF2 drum set (24 bits, 12 samples, 3.3 Mo).
4 Keyboard traking (-10 to 10) for the Vcos and the Vcfs.
1 Ring Modulator with EQ.
1 Noise Generator with EQ.
1 Monophonic LFO with ADSR.
2 Mulitmode VCFs (20) with oversampled processes.
4 Polyphonic EGs with curves for each segment, velocity and Kbd controls.
1 X Y joystick controller.
1 Sample & Hold.
10 host sync clocks.
1 oversampled Distortion.
1 Soft Vintage EQ.
2 Delays with sync, multimode filter and modulation oscillator with sync.
1 Scope with 10 ms of buffer size.
1 Frequency display.
1 Note pad.
Full Midi learn.
