LiquidSonics updates Reverberate to v1.650

Related: , , , , , , Posted in news on Nov 16, 2010 - comment 1 comment
LiquidSonics Reverberate

LiquidSonics has released version 1.650 of Reverberate, a pair of stereo zero-latency convolution processors coupled with modulating post-effects for a richer, more dynamic convolution reverb.

Reverberate provides a rich and dynamic reverb from impulse responses by modulating an amalgamation of two, separately controllable true stereo IRs using an LFO. Further modulation is possible using the post-processing effects; an all-pass interpolator chorus and delay unit provide a fuller sound and an over-sampled analogue prototype paragraphic equaliser is provided with dual LFOs. These features make for a livelier, more creative sound than typically associated with some convolution reverbs.

Changes since Reverberate v1.610

  • All: Master wet lock icon added.
  • All: Changed the wet lock options to include a default insert mode, send mode, or as specified per bank as wet-lock is now saved in the preset banks allowing for banks to be configured as send banks.
  • All: The presets view now opens by default instead of the IR browser.
  • All: Master gain lock added. (1.640)
  • OS X: Fix for a lost files dialog request not showing correctly. (1.640)
  • All: Filter frequencies can now be selected from A0 – G#8 using pulldown menus providing a very natural and musical frequency selection approach. (1.630)
  • Mac: 64-bit VST added to the plug-in binary (a 64-bit AU is not yet available). The 64-bit VST will load automatically in hosts supporting 64-bit plug-ins. (1.620)
  • Mac: Audio file library speed optimisations for reduced start-up and audio file access times. (1.620)
  • All: Control+click on post IR gain controls now resets the slider positions as well as the parameter value. (1.614)
  • OS X: Improved support for system volume names containing diacritics. (1.612)
  • All: The demo timers have been reset so that all expired demos may now run for a further 30 days to enable past demo users to try all the new features added in recent releases. (1.611)
  • All: Increased stability when system memory is depleted. (1.611)

Reverberate is available to purchase for PC and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS) for £50 GBP.

LiquidSonics Reverberate, full RTAS support + Reverberate Core released

LiquidSonics Reverberate

LiquidSonics has released version 1.610 of Reverberate, a hybrid convolution reverb audio processor for Windows and Mac.

LiquidSonics pleased to announce full RTAS support in the latest release of Reverberate as a free update for all users. Due to the number of incremental improvements over the last 18 months the selling price of Reverberate has been increased to more accurately represent its place in the market.

Changes since Reverberate v1.600

  • Reduced memory consumption of the early reflections module.
  • The EQ states automatically enable when an EQ parameter is modified.
  • Fixed initial values for the stereo wideners where saves were made using version 1.506 (previous saves work as expected). Download PC 32-bit, Download PC 64-bit, Download OSX.
  • Native RTAS x86 support.
  • New early reflections reverb module incorporating virtual point source generation models.
  • New stereo widener for each IR.
  • 64 new true stereo impulse responses.
  • Two additional preset banks utilising the new true stereo IRs and the early reflections module.
  • New consolidated EQ views for IR1, IR2 and post to show all 5 bands on a single tab for quicker EQ editing.
  • A mirror of the IR1 and IR2 mixer gain controls on the IR1 and IR2 tabs for convenience during editing and selection.
  • Updates to the GUI for increased graphical texturing and a clearer representation of the IR state.
  • The IR reverse and normalisation controls have been moved to make space for the additional IR dials.
  • Mac: Fixed impulse response normalisation bug.
  • PC: Improved font rendering.
LiquidSonics Reverberate

LiquidSonics has also introduced Reverberate Core to meet the needs of producers and musicians who require a simple and efficient true stereo convolver without the modulation and effects capabilities of the full edition of Reverberate.

Existing users of Reverberate can also benefit from the reduced memory footprint and suitability of Reverberate Core when configured as a higher latency workhorse reverb processor when the full flexibility of Reverberate is not needed (for instance when using third party impulse responses on delay compensated audio tracks).

Reverberate is now available to purchase for £50 GBP, Reverberate Core is £30 GBP.

LiquidSonics Reverberate, convolution reverb effect gets new stereo delay modules

Related: , , , , , , Posted in news on Jun 30, 2010 - comment 0 comments
LiquidSonics Reverberate

LiquidSonics has released version 1.500 of Reverberate, a highly efficient convolution reverb audio processor offering true zero-latency operation for two separate, stereo impulse responses.

Reverberate seeks to provide a richer and more dynamic sounding reverb from impulse responses by optionally modulating an amalgamation of two, separately controllable true stereo IRs using an LFO. Further modulation is possible using the post-processing effects; an all-pass interpolator chorus provides a fuller sound and an over-sampled analogue prototype paragraphic equaliser is provided with dual LFOs. These features make for a livelier sound than typically associated with some convolution reverbs, at a very competitive price.

Changes since Reverberate v1.410

  • All [1.500]: New stereo delay modules incorporating delay line modulation and tempo sync added to the IR1, IR2 and master signal paths.
  • All [1.500]: Some factory default presets have been updated to use the new delay module.
  • All [1.419]: Additional denormal protection to reduce CPU load under some conditions.
  • All: Faster loading of FXB files from the user interface.
  • OS X AU [1.418]: Save as FXB now sets the initial preset to patch in the file to patch 1.
  • OS X [1.418]: A crash bug on some systems when using the eject button is now resolved.
  • All [1.417]: Processing indicators have been added to all tabs (they were previously only shown on the IR1/IR2 tabs) to show activity during preset changes.
  • All [1.417]: The currently selected preset number in the radio brower did not always correctly update.
  • All [1.417]: The post-EQ LFO was incorrectly timed when operating above 44.1kHz.
  • All [1.416]: Fixed an issue with the VST-RTAS beta period expiration date preventing the demo from running correctly under the VST-RTAS wrapper.
  • OS X [1.416]: Better handling of lost file user interaction mechanisms.
  • OS X [1.415]: An additional default search path is included for /Library/Audio/Impulse Responses/LiquidSonics/Reverberate/Factory-flac/ so if the flac compatibility presets package is installed it is not necessary to update all song files with the new location for the old flac files.
  • OS X [1.414]: Bug fix for new installations introduced in v1.413.
  • All [1.413]: Increased maximum IR length.
  • OS X [1.413]: Presets files now stored in `/Library/Audio/Impulse Responses/LiquidSonics` to follow the typical Mac convention.
  • OS X [1.413]: Default presets now use wav instead of flac due to compatibility issues on some Macs. Links to the previous flac files are provided on the website support page.
  • OS X AU [1.412]: Some hosts did not correctly restore the correct program in a bank when a song/project file is loaded. This is fixed in saves from this version and beyond though any old saves will still exhibit the incorrect behaviour in affected hosts.
  • OS X AU [1.411]: Host calls to reset the audio line now cause the plug-in buffers to be flushed (e.g. manually moving the transport position in Logic).
  • OS X [1.411]: Additional graphics check to resolve a crash bug in Logic 9.1.1 under 10.5.8.

Reverberate is available to purchase as an effect plug-in for PC and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS beta), priced at £30 GBP.
