Inear Display has announced that its Bucephal, Danaides and SicknDstroy effect plugins are now available in native 32 and 64-bit VST format for Linux.
Inear Display plugins
- Bucephal is a sound mangling plugin based on two delay lines designed to be mutated by four modulators freely assignable to the time and feedback.
- Danaides is a sequenced sound mangler with a powerful modulation section.
- SicknDstroy is a multimode lo-fi effect plugin.
Bucephal and Danaides are 20 EUR each, SicknDstroy is freeware. The plugins are now available for Windows, Mac & Linux (VST/AU).

Uppercussion has announced the release of Bitkits, a free collection of ten 8-bit drum kits in collaboration with Icebreaker Audio.
The samples in Bitkits come from a time when 8-bit sounds were the standard for video games and digital synthesizers. The kits give you 8-bit versions of kick, snare and hihat sounds, as well as a large collection of beeps, buzzes, noises, arpeggiations and other sound effects typical of the 8-bit era.
All of the samples in Bitkits were created using the BitRate digital drum machine for Reaktor, created by Icebreaker Audio. BitRate features realistic emulations of digital sound engines from the late 80s and early 90s in an intuitive interface.
Bitkits features
- 10 Bitkits kits.
- 160 samples, 16 samples per kit.
- Samples are 24-bit, 44.1 kHz.

Psychic Modulation has released version 1.3 of the Phonec synthesizer plug-in for Windows.
Phonec is best described as an ‘analog flux synthesizer’. Inspired by the mystique of video logo synth scores from worn out VHS tapes, Phonec was primarily designed with character in mind. However Phonec is capable of producing a wide range of sounds such as vintage analogue tones, lo-fi synthscapes, ethereal pads, minimal techno sequences, and synthwave leads and basses.
