Native Instruments launches “Twice As Nice” Maschine Expansion Sale

Native Instruments has launched Twice As Nice, offering a free Maschine Expansion of choice for every Expansion purchased at the NI Online Shop.

Native Instruments Twice As Nice

MASCHINE Expansions each contain a stylized range of expertly designed kits, instruments, sounds, and patterns for use with the entire range of MASCHINE hardware – often with exclusive presets for MASSIVE, REAKTOR PRISM, and MASCHINE 2 software’s Drum Synths. Many MASCHINE Expansions were created in close partnership with high-profile sound designers or renowned artists such as Steve Lawler, Amp Fiddler, and Dae One.

Designed for a wide range of contemporary production styles, MASCHINE Expansions allow beat makers to explore, mix, and tweak new sounds to fit their own style. Each MASCHINE Expansion focuses on a particular genre or concept. Expansions such as LAZER DICE and LUCID MISSION dive deep into the new sounds of future bass and EDM, while GREY FORGE, STATIC FRICTION, and RAW VOLTAGE each offer distinct flavors of techno and electronica. MARBLE RIMS, CONANT GARDENS, VINTAGE HEAT, and TRUE SCHOOL all offer sounds for creating stylized hip hop and urban rhythms.
These and many more illustrate the diversity of the ever-expanding series of MASCHINE Expansions.

Maschine Expansions are available to purchase for $49 USD / 49 EUR / £44 GBP. Until July 28, 2014, purchase of one Maschine Expansion grants a second Expansion free. Sake excludes Arcane Attic and Circuit Halo.

Producertech has announced the launch of Maschine Courses, a new website offering quality online training for Native Instruments’ powerful groove production studio, Maschine.

Maschine Courses

The courses on offer range from complete guides, covering all areas of the software and hardware, to courses focusing on certain styles of music, like House and Glitch Hop, as well as a Producer’s Guide to Music Theory, with many more courses to follow.

The site has a sleek look and intuitive functionality, working well on all browsing devices, such as smart phones and tablets, making it easy for students to access courses from wherever they are in the word, at whatever times they like. Plus, all of the courses come with accompanying downloadable materials, such as Maschine projects, bonus packs of Loopmasters samples and Maschine kits, written notes and even projects that enable students to practice their newly-acquired skills.

The Complete Guide to MKII course is now fully updated to Maschine version 2, and also new tutorials are currently being made with Studio and Mikro, so very soon there will be complete guides to all three versions of the hardware. Many more courses are planned for later in the year too, including those that teach other styles of music like Drum and Bass and much more!

Native Instruments releases Circuit Halo for Maschine

Native Instruments has announced the release of Circuit Halo, a new Maschine expansion library that combines intricately-sampled vintage synths and drum machines with contemporary patterns.

Native Instruments Circuit Halo
CIRCUIT HALO’s sound set combines multi-sampled synths, classic drum machines, custom glitch modulation effects, and new presets for the included MASSIVE and REAKTOR PRISM synths.

CIRCUIT HALO features a premium collection of samples from vintage synthesizers such as the Roland Juno 60, Casio VL-Tone, Prophet 5, Yamaha DX7, Sequential Circuits Pro One and Six-Trak, and a Korg MS-20. Each instrument was meticulously multi-sampled to capture the characteristic warm low end and idiosyncrasies such as pitch drift that analog equipment adds to productions. The combination of vintage sound with the latest in glitch modulation effects and arrangement styles gives producers a new way to blend classic sounds with production techniques.

The drum sounds in CIRCUIT HALO come from a mix of vintage and modern drum machines – many customized for a unique sound. Boutique outboard gear such as a classic 80s British talkback compressor and 1/2″ analog tape were used for detailed tone shaping and a good dose of warmth and character. Lush reverb reminiscent of the 80s sound was also used to add depth and vintage flavor to the expansion.

CIRCUIT HALO’s four Special Kits contain a wealth of glitched-out, grainy sounds, noises and sweeps, sound effects, and percussion and stabs. All-new PRISM presets provide organic leads, pads, mallets, and flutes while MASSIVE presets deliver textured, morphing leads, basses, and stabs.

A condensed version of CIRCUIT HALO is also available as an iMASCHINE Expansion for creating beats on-the-go. The iMASCHINE Expansion features two projects, four drum kits, and two multi-sampled instruments. Tracks can be exported to MASCHINE STUDIO, MASCHINE, and MASCHINE MIKRO for completion.

CIRCUIT HALO was created in cooperation with Danish sound design expert Joël Krozer of 6 Bit Deep.

Circuit Halo is available for purchase for $49 USD / 49 EUR / £44 GBP. Requires Maschine 2. The iMASCHINE expansion is available at the iMASCHINE in-app store for $0.99 USD / 0.89 EUR / £0.69 GBP.
