MellowMuse has announced the release of CP2V Vintage Compressor, a compressor effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.

The vintage styled CP2V, is a track and program compressor, that captures the smoothness and harmonic richness of analogue circuits, in an easy to use package.

Turning the Compression control gradually increases the compression ratio while lowering the threshold. The Drive level is then used to adjust for the drop in output and to add saturation to the compressed signal.

CP2V Vintage Compressor is available to purchase as an effect plug-in for PC and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS), priced at $79 USD.

Mellowmuse has released version 2.0 of guitar/fx sim Mellowhead and IR1A, a general purpose convolution plug-in for PC and Mac.

The other Mellowmuse plug-ins have been updated to version 1.4, introducing a number of improvements and fixes.

Universal Audio has released UAD Software Version 5.4.1, the lastest version of the UAD Powered Plug-Ins Software.

UAD Software Version 5.4.1 provides minor functional and sonic improvements to the FATSO Jr./Sr. Powered Plug-In, as well as a new “Clear CPU Affinity” setting for Windows users, which reduces CPU spiking on most multi-processor systems.

  • All LEDs turn off when power disabled.
  • Ch 2 parameters default to OFF/”0″ in mono instance.

  • Removed discontinuities in the saturation curve at clip level.
  • Copy+Paste settings from mono to stereo now working.

• [RTAS] UAD v5.4.1 does not include the latest version of the Mellowmuse ATA RTAS plug-in. We recommend downloading and installing the latest ATA version after updating to UAD v5.4.1. The latest ATA version is available directly from the Mellowmuse website.

MellowMuse has released version 1.3.1 of IR1A, a convolution effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.

IR1A is a general purpose convolution plug-in that can load 16bit/24bit mono or stereo AIFF or WAV files. Great for anything from natural room ambiences and reverb to guitar cabinets and special FX.

IR1A comes with a small selection of IRs, including reverbs, room ambience and guitar cabinets, as it loads standard AIFF/WAV files its easy to create your own or take advantage of the many free IRs available on the internet. The zero latency (256 samples) mode is useful with guitar cab IRs etc when processing while playing.

Changes in IR1A Convolver v1.3.1

• CPU usage cut by up to 50% in standard latency mode.
• Fix for periodic bursts of noise when changing presets in Cubase (Mac).
• G5 fix for audio freeze on some Dual Processor models.

IR1A Convolver is available for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS) for $49 USD.
