Synapse Audio has released version 1.2 of Dune, a virtual synthesizer instrument for Windows and Mac.
DUNE has been updated to Version 1.2, introducing the new Michael Kastrup signature soundset with more than 100 mindblowing patches, as well as a raft of detail improvements.
Changes in Dune v1.2
Improved VCO quality for the classic sawtooth and square oscillators, giving an even more transparent, analog sound.
Modulation and Pitch bend wheel now respond more smoothly.
Engine system which guaranteets that the sound stays consistent after upgrading. Old projects using Dune use the engine the project was saved with; new projects use the latest engine.
Modulation Matrix has row numbers now.
Pitch Bend wasn’t visually updated in some hosts when loading a project, fixed.
Mac Audio Unit version uses 20-30% less CPU than previously.
Dune for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available to purchase for $139 USD.
Michael Kastrup has released Tonemeister GM 80, an 80′s General Music ReFill for Reason.
In short this Refill could be considered as a General 80′s Music module with a twist, the twist is that the multisamples are done with effects on, meaning reverb and other spatial sound things are kept except for delays.
All multisamples are synthesized from scratch, additional samples are a special Redrumkit created for these 80′s sounds.
The Refill size is 300 MB (650 MB unpacked), covers 120+ multisamples which are made into NN-XT presets to keep things real simple.
Tonemeister GM 80 is available to purchase for 19 EUR.
SynthTronic has released a Signature Soundset for Pro-53 by Michael Kastrup, a collection of 64 presets for Native Instruments Pro-53.
Michael Kastrup writes:
This soundest was created simply because an oldie but goodie was discontinued. If Pro 53 is to be retired I’d like to add my little mark on this super efficient and simple good sounding synth.
Pro 53 comes with 512 presets so a lot of sounds are covered but I was still able to cook something not heard before on the Pro 53 and this soundset are those sounds.
The Michael Kastrup Signature Soundset for Pro-53 is available to purchase for 5 EUR.
u-he has released version 2.3 of Zebra, the wireless modular synthesizer plug-in for Windows and Mac.

Voice Drift can now be switched off for strict tuning.

u-he has also announced the release of AFTERskool, a new set of 128 patches by Michael Kastrup.
The AFTERskool Soundset is a mixed bag of goodies and soundwise we are still in Old School category. My main focus has been around new Bass, Strings, Poly’s and some emulations.
AFTERskool is available for purchase now for $25 USD (+19% VAT if ordered in the EU).
u-he has released the third edition of Zebra2 Oldskool, a patch collection for u-he Zebra2.
This sound set by Michael Kastrup now includes more than 500 outstanding, playable and lush sounding patches that cover decades of synthesizer & keyboard history.
Michael writes:
Here we are, 1 year has passed with my nose buried deep into Zebra 2 VST. What I have learned is its, to me, true nature which is somewhat hidden because most people tend to think subtractive only. In my opinion the immense power lies within the OSC FX. This is what makes Zebra different from other synths. Now combine that with its wavetable and additive shaping and we got a MONSTER in our hands. There is no way to tell how an OSC FX affects a waveform without trial and error and this is where the real exploration of Zebra begins.
The complete Zebra2 Oldskool set is available for a special price of $59 USD (+19% VAT if ordered in the EU) until June 15th (regular price is $69 USD + VAT). An update from Oldskool Vol 1+2 is available for $20 USD.
