Mildon Studios has released Spike Panner, a level-triggered panning effect plug-in for Windows.
Spike Panner, the first in a new set of creative mixing plugins (a sequel to last year’s Provoc/SLVR series), automatically pans your audio when it reaches your set threshold.
It allows you to take control of the center of the stereo image and create interesting spatial movement. One of its many possible uses is to allow the placing of more instruments in the center without drowning important elements like kick, bass, and vocals.
Spike Panner features
- Threshold control and monitor.
- Panning control and monitor.
- Attack and Release controls.
- Input and Output level controls.
The Spike Panner plug-in costs $36 USD. It is currently on sale at a 50% discount.

Mildon Studios has launched the HUE-X + M4GIQ Plugin Bundle, a collection of two effect plug-ins for Windows.
HUE-X is perfect EQ for those who trust their ears or just love to experiment with sound. It is designed to let you bring out what you want in the sound instantly and with much ease. Now you can control different characteristics of the sound without having to deal with the obscurity of traditional EQ’s.
HUE-X breaks it down to ten faders: Boom, Depth, Fullness, Body, Warmth, Clarity, Sheen, Brightness, Sparkle, Punch. These faders are divided into two groups: Warm Tones (red strip) and Cool Tones (blue strip).
M4GIQ is a 4-band multi-fx plugin that lets you apply Gain, Panning, and Delay to each frequency band. This is extremely useful for spreading frequencies across the stereo image, making it easier for the sound to cut through.
You can shape the sound further with the Gain controls and High-pass/Low-pass filters. Delay can also be added to make an interesting effect, or to emphasize the spreading of frequencies.
Both are available to download as a bundle for Windows (VST) at no cost.

Performer EPiano comes as an SFZ instrument, so you can play it using any free SFZ player. We recommend sfz player or Alchemy player.

Mildon Studios has released the Pringles Drumkit SFZ, a free sound library featuring the sounds of a pringles can.
It’s natural for us musicians to turn everyday objects (or snacks) into musical instruments, it’s in our blood. But even non-musicians can easily discover the musical potential of a half-empty can of Pringles. Listen to this delicious demo.
This famous canister starts crackling as soon as it leaves the table and doesn’t stop until you put it back down. With a little effort and the right slapping/shaking/tapping/chip-scratching/biting technique, we’ve turned this potato crisp popper into a complete drum machine.
We didn’t do a lot of processing to the samples to preserve the raw crumby sound, except for a few slaps and taps that had to be layered to get the ‘kick’ and ‘snare’ to sound big enough. A little bluemix here and there, some compression, that’s it.
We selected a few samples from about a hundred to be a part of this kit, so you can expect another crackly kit soon. It gave us a lot of fun, and now it’s your turn to make some crunchy beats!
The SFZ is a free download at Mildon Studios.
