Mildon Studios has released Mildon Strummer 2, a MIDI strumming engine that can strum compatible VSTi’s and sample players such as Kontakt, SampleTank, G-Player, and many others.
It has an improved Chord Detection system plus an all-new Freestyle Mode. Other new controls include Humanize, String Velocity, and Palm Mute.
It is compatible with several popular VST hosts; There are special features that can extend its compatibility with other hosts that don’t support multi-channel MIDI input. Designed to work with industry-standard sample players to ensure wider compatibility with other guitar VSTi’s.

Mildon Studios has released Otobongo, a free ethnic percussion VST instrument that oto-matically varies the tap each time you press the key.
Here’s the next installment to my let-me-find-a-good-use-for-ethnic-instruments-in-my-studio project: an authentic cowhide bongo made in the mountain province of Benguet, Philippines. I bought it on the day of my college graduation so it’s really special to me. Tap with care. Screenshot
If you’ve ever had a cowhide bongo you would know that they don’t have much resonance like the conga, instead they’re very natural-sounding, more earthy. It’s great for world and ethnic music styles. So if you’re making the soundtrack for the next Pocahontas sequel, maybe this can come handy.

Mildon Studios has released Vocal Spread, a free effect plug-in for enhancing stereo spread.
It’s a simple plug, but it can be very useful if you have a busy mix with a lot of bass and low-end rumble, or if you want your vocals to stand out off the bat, or if you want to lighten and brighten a dull or dark vocals. It’s great for group vocals, choir, back-up vocals, and lead vocals.
t spreads out the signal across the stereo track, which can help the vocals stir clear of the muddy areas (like bass and kick in the middle) while keeping the vocals bright and centered. I’ve added a ‘body’ control which works the same way as in HUE-X in case you want the sound to be more upfront, since spreading may cause it to sound lighter (e.g. for the main vocals).
This plugin is not limited to vocals, although it was designed for vocals. It could sound nice with acoustic instruments, just try it out.

Mildon Studio has released Lemonstrum 3, a virtual acoustic guitar strummer instrument for Windows.
Mildon Studios Lemonstrum 3Lemonstrum 3 is quite different from most acoustic guitar strummers. Unlike previous versions, this one is primarily a chord sample player. Each of the 12 keys on the keyboard (A-G#) triggers the chord you assign to it. You can load up to three samples (different strokes) of the same chord for each trigger, which Lemonstrum will then play alternately whenever you press the key. A light press will play a scratch effect.
It is pre-loaded with power chords or “fifths,” which blend well with both major and minor chords. You can also mic your own guitar and record three downstrokes of the chord that you want and load them into Lemonstrum 3.
Lemonstrum 3 is available as a VST instrument plug-in for Windows PC, priced at $8 USD. It comes free with a purchase of the recently released HUE-X (valid through December 31, 2009).
