Nick Crow has released Wagner Mk2 Sharp, a freeware tube guitar amp VST plug-in for Windows PC.

Wagner Mk2 Sharp features

• DRIVE -Determines the amount of gain applied by the Pre Amp.
• BASS, MID, TREBLE - Tone Stack controls.
• POWER AMP - Determines the amount of gain applied by the Power Amp.
• MASTER - Output level.

The plug-in doesn’t have a GUI so it will use the default GUI of your host.

Simple Guitar Combo is based on real tube stage modeling.

• DRIVE - Determines the amount of gain applied by the preamp
• BASS, MIDDLE, FREQ, TREBLE - Tone Stack gain controls
• FREQ - middle frequency tune
• VOLUME - Output level. When light red led - decrease VOLUME value
• QUALITY - Internal plugin SampleRate in realtime (control of oversampling). SampleRate always has a maximum value in Render (Mixdown) mode of VST host (if supported by host)
• POWER - Switch plug-in in bypass mode

Nikolai “NickCrow” Voronin has updated TubeDriver to v0.96.

TubeDriver is a tube amplifier effect plugin, designed to enrich the signal with warm tube saturation. It is based on real tube stage modeling.

No idea what changed exactly in this release, will post more info when available.

Update 17-08-2007: got word from Nick about what’s new in v0.96:

• Pre EQ added (High Pass, Peak, Shelf and resonant Low Pass filters)
• New antialiasing filter with oversampling rate control knob - internal samplerate can be adjusted from host samplerate to 882 (960) kHz
• Drift control added to simulate tube amplifier’s drift of parameters
• Noise control added to simulate tube amplifier’s noise
• New GUI
