Wagner Sharp is based on real tube stage modeling.

Features

• CUT LOW, HIGH – input High Pass and Low Pass filters
• DRIVE – Determines the amount of gain applied by the preamp
• BASS, MIDDLE, FREQ, TREBLE – Tone Stack gain controls
• FREQ – middle frequency tune
• VOLUME – Output level. When light red led – decrease VOLUME value
• QUALITY – Internal plugin SampleRate in realtime (control of oversampling). SampleRate always has a maximum value in Render (Mixdown) mode of VST host (if supported by host)
• POWER – Switch plug-in in bypass mode

Nikolai “NickCrow” Voronin has updated TubeDriver to v0.96.

TubeDriver is a tube amplifier effect plugin, designed to enrich the signal with warm tube saturation. It is based on real tube stage modeling.

No idea what changed exactly in this release, will post more info when available.

Update 17-08-2007: got word from Nick about what’s new in v0.96:

• Pre EQ added (High Pass, Peak, Shelf and resonant Low Pass filters)
• New antialiasing filter with oversampling rate control knob – internal samplerate can be adjusted from host samplerate to 882 (960) kHz
• Drift control added to simulate tube amplifier’s drift of parameters
• Noise control added to simulate tube amplifier’s noise
• New GUI

The GUI was changed (improved IMO) and a filter was added. It also appears the plug-in is a little less CPU hungy.

• Bias: determines saturation characterization
• Drive: determines the amount of gain applied by the tube stage
• Volume: output level. (when light OVER – decrease VOLUME value)
• Boost mode (12 db boost gain applied by the tube stage)
• Mono mode (processes Left Input, outputs Left and Right)

• Phase switch of output signal (probable need in case serial connect few instance of TubeDriver for production heavy distortion)
• Low-Pass Filter (enable/disable switch, cutoff and resonance controls)

It looks a little different (better I guess) from previous versions, but other than that I don’t really know what changed.

Features

• Input gain: amount of gain applied by the Preamp tube stage (decrease when light OVER)
• Saturation: saturation characterization
• Loudness: amount of gain applied by the Poweramp tube stage
• Volume: output level (decrease when light OVER)
• Bypass: switch TubeDriver in bypass mode
• Phase: switch phase of output signal (in case you want to connect a few instances of TubeDriver for heavy distortion)

The TubeDriver download includes a Mono and Stereo version.
