Loopmasters has introduced Transformer Drummer, a sample pack featuring drum sounds from ZENFX.
We’re back with another new monster, designed from the ground up and crafted with extreme detail. ‘Transformer Drummer’ is something you just have not heard before. Imagine a drum battle between the Autobots & Decepticons with Optimus Prime hammering a transforming drum kit for hours, well these transformer drum sounds would be the result.
We spent literally months creating this drum kit and are super proud of the way it has turned out, there is nothing like it out there, period. With metal power kicks mastered to ZenFX perfection, electric hi hats that break sonic boundaries in high end frequencies, snares that snap like a robotic punch, ultimate manoeuvring percussion and of course fx bangs, reverses and modern transformer fx that was designed specifically for this sample pack, this drum kit will blow your mind!
Transformer Drummer features
- 755 transformer drum sounds including over 150 percussion sounds, 110 kick drums, 90 snares, 50 fx bangs, 50 hi hats and more.
- 467 MB total content, 24-bit 96Khz.
The sample pack is available to purchase for £47.95 GBP.

Some interesting things I bookmarked on del.icio.us on October 23rd, 2007:
Pairadocs did an awesome full-blown movie Transformers repaint… protoform verion of Optimus Prime.

Several layers of metallics here – first a metallic black base, then layered drybrushes of Oily Steel, Silver, and a custom mixed metallic light blue. Then accent colors were added in. All screw holes were filled in and sculpted to keep the figure one solid piece with no distractions.
Very nice job!

Some lady wanted to do something special for her husband’s 30th, so she ordered a huge Optimus Prime cake from a local Nashville cake shop.
The thing is the size of a toddler (and I’m sure has more calories ^_^). It has brownie dirt complete with fondant grass and the body is made of cake and rice crispy treats.
Sweet cake! Check the Flickr page for another image, with her husband in the picture so you can see how big this cake really is.

PaperRobots1999.com has building instructions for some cool fully-articulated-free-paper-action-figures.
The year is 1999. The millennium is almost upon us. Y2K lurks around every corner, threatening to take over our computers and destroy all our technology. And when it does, paper robots will rule the earth.
Available models (can be downloaded as PDF files) include Magnus Style Prime and Optimus Prime.

You’ll still have to wait a few months until the Transformers movie is out (check these new images), so in the meantime you can keep yourself busy creating your own Optimus Prime model.
Check PaperRobots1999’s photos on Flickr. I hope they’ll make a Megatron model soon!
