Push Button Bang has released Orchestro, a sample collection featuring classical complextro and EDM fx.

A new take on orchestral based EDM, Orchestro is an experimental loop and single hit library designed for the boundary pushing electronica enthusiast.

Taking classical instrument phrases, stabs and movements, splicing them with dark bass and twisted momentum, to create a unique sound collection of weird and wonderful complextro-style combinations.

Orchestro features

• 488 loops and samples, 420MB content.
• 140 full loops and 130 half bar cuts, 128 bpm.
• Includes 16 big hits, 7 choir cuts, 13 fx, 54 instrument hits, 33 mixed hits, 20 small hits.

Spitfire Audio has announced the release of Sable Volume 2, a string library for Native Instruments Kontakt.

Spitfire are delighted to release the hotly anticipated second volume in our detailed new String library. Volume 2 contains the Violin 2 section (providing you with a smaller totally different group of violinists, sat in a different position to give you a true orchestral spread), Viola and Bass sections, and between volumes 1 and 2 you have an incredibly beautiful and dynamic, responsive collection of players.

Each section is fully controllable individually, and is recorded with 7 mic positions, through rare and classic mics in one of the greatest recording studios in the world, through Neve ‘Montserrat’ mic pres and then on through the Neve 88R onto tape, and finally through Prism converters into Protools at 96k. We present the library in Kontakt 4.2.4 and higher format (FULL VERSION OF KONTAKT REQUIRED) at 48k, 24bit.

8Dio Productions has announced that its Adagio Basses Vol. 1 sample library for Kontakt is available to pre-order.

Adagio Basses is our fourth release in the Adagio Series – featuring both Ensemble (4), Divisi (2) and Solo Basses. The library contains 9 different types of legato, 25+ dynamic bowing types, 15 loures and gorgeous deep-sampled short notes.

The Basses have historically been the “forgotten” instrument when it comes to string sampling, due to its lower and less prominent register. We decided to take the opposite approach and record the instrument with depth, passion and lushness. The result is the most comprehensive sample library on the market in regards to emotional and realistic orchestral basses. We ♥ it and we think you will ♥ it too.

Kong Audio has announced that its Chinee Orchestra collection of sample-based Chinese traditional instruments will be available as a boxset shortly.

The boxset is currently is production. The disc will include the latest update to the instruments as well as the updated QIN engine player. Quite some instruments have been re-polished under the hood and are integrated with a new legato Extender module in the upcoming release, to provide a even more nuanced expressiveness to the instruments.

All of Kong Audio’s updates have been free for existing customers since 2005, and this upcoming update will be available as free download too.

Chinee Orchestra, powered by Windows native QIN RV 2.0 engine, contains 22 instruments, covering strings, plucked, percussion and wind instruments: ChineeWinds, ChineeKong V3, ErHu and ErHu II, NanXiao, GuZheng II, PiPa, MaTouQin, SuoNa, GuanZi, Sheng, YangQin, HuLuSi, GuQin, LiuQin, SanXian.
