Point Blank has announced Monster Timestretch, a free Max for Live device for Ableton Live by Daniel Herbert.
The new Max for Live device from Point Blank is a timestretching plugin based on a technique known as phase vocoding and can time stretch sounds in realtime. It’s similar to the fantastic Paul Stretch and is ideal for creating slowly evolving drone-like textures as well as more futuristic sounds.
There are four different modes which allow you to play through and explore the sound in a variety of ways and literally freeze the sound.
The plugin is limited to processing the first 30 seconds of an audio file and only works within Ableton as a M4L device and will not play in any other DAW. We recommend you use resampling if you need to record the effect to a new audio file.

123creative has announced the release of Epralux ORB7000, an octave reverb system plug-in for Windows.
Epralux ORB7000 – is not classic reverb simulation of real acoustic space. ORB7000 is special, artistic and creative octave / pitch-shifting reverb system for creating special sound and space effects, new sound colors and unique experimental sounds.
Main feature that makes ORB7000 different is special particle based pitch-shifting unit that splits reverbed signal to 3 sub-signals: octave down, normal, octave up. Then sound is split for very small time sequences (in milliseconds), octave down circuit play sound de-tuned -1 octave while octave-up circuit plays sound one octave +1 pitch shifted. This create really unique sound effects (to hear this effect best try ORB7000 with melodical sund samples like guitar, piano, synthesizer or human voice).
ORB7000 is usable in any musical style from classic pop, rock to more experimental styles like ambient music, cinematic music or electronic dance music.
Epralux ORB7000 features
Reverb unit with parameters: pre-delay, room size, damp, width, dry-wet, stages, time curve, amp curve, min time, max time, low freqency, high. freqency, sync, pre-delay, invert amp.
After two years of R&D (a sentence fragment that in no way conveys the experience we’ve just been through), and coincidentally during the week of Audio Damage’s tenth anniversary, we have succeeded in releasing a hardware platform for our DSP effects, and are ludicrously proud to unveil the first three Audio Damage hardware products: DubJr, Grainshift, and Errorbox.
Audio Damage Eurorack modules
ADM01 DubJr is the delay from Dubstation, in a pint-sized Eurorack modular format, for your knob-twisting pleasure.
ADM02 Grainshift is a real-time granular pitch-shifter and chaos effect for the Eurorack modular format. From simple smooth micro-tuned pitch shifting and chorus effects on up to full metal granular chaos, Grainshift is a versatile module, easy to use and fun to have.
ADM03 Errorbox is just like any other tool-kit utility module, except that in this tool-kit, all the tools are chainsaws and rabid badgers. Includes a sample rate reducer, bit rate reducer, and ERR algorithm (as found in the Kombinat Dva plug-in).
The modules are available to purchase via Audio Damage’s retail partners for $179 USD each (currently exclusively at Analogue Haven).
Sunsine Audio has released Effectus, a collection of 4 stereo effects for Audulus.
Effectus contains 4 stereo effects ready for standalone or Audiobus use.
Shifter – Shifter contains a pitch shift section as well as a ring mod section. Both can be used independently or mixed together as well as mixed with the original signal. This is the free demo instrument.
Binary (Chop) and Binary (Ring) – Binary is an amplitude modulator or gate device, and comes in two flavors. Binary (Chop) allows exploration of slower speed stereo gating effects while Binary (Ring) brings the amplitude modulation into the audio range, producing ring modulation effects with a different tone than the “traditional” ring modulation in Shifter produces.
Mothra – Mothra is a sequenced and filtered reverb. Each input is individually fed through a network of distortion devices, simple low pass filters, and reverbs which are then delivered to a 16 step sequencer providing strange stereo and resonant spaces which can be “stepped” through.
Time Gap – Time Gap is a filtered stereo delay with cross feed between the left and right channels. A simple high pass filter is followed by three delay units with two resonant low pass filters placed between them, delays can be cross fed at two points in the signal chain.
Kemper Amps has announced a major update for its Kemper Profiler, offering game changing pitch shifting FX with pure tuning and formant shifter, performance mode, new rigs, and more.
The Kemper Profiler has taken the guitarists’ world by storm and rocks the world this summer on major festival stages. To mention just a few: UK’s best known alternative trio Biffy Clyro played Rock am Ring and the biggest venues in the UK. Muse have toured the biggest arenas in the world just like many others as well. Numerous records were and are produced with the Kemper Profiler. Right now Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore plays two Kemper Profiler Racks during their Delta Machine arena tour: http://youtu.be/E4UzHxhsQ8Y
Guitarists quickly learned to love the Profiler because of its authentic sound, now moving on with the brand new Firmware Version 2.0 the focus this time shifts towards effects and usability. The Kemper Company mothership looks already back on a 15 year legacy with the Access VIRUS, one of the most popular and comprehensive synthesizers on the market, acclaimed for its sound and incredible effects. This expertise is now transferred step by step to the Profiler by offering worldclass effects especially designed for performing guitar players.
Changes in Kemper Profiler Software v2.0
Shifting Pitches—A collection of new polyphonic Pitch Shifting FX now extends the creative potential of the Profiler. Easily on par with the industry standard in terms of sound quality the Profiler in some areas even goes beyond what has been offered by even the most expensive pitch shifter devices on the market. With no compromise. For the first time a real time formant shifter for guitar is available in order to shape the character of the guitar and compensate for that unwanted „chipmunk effect“ when pitch shifting guitar sounds. „Pure Tuning“ or „just“ tuning finally is an option that tunes the intervals in the „pure“ or „just“ manner. This results in great and smooth sounding chords created with the pitch shifter which have never been possible before.
Listen and Learn—Additionally a lot for requests from the players of the Kemper Profiler have been implemented as new features which most likely will become a new standard. For example: When the Volume Control Pedal is put down to zero automatically the Tuner Mode is activated.
Performance mode—Performance mode is a powerful tool that allows for organising rigs in ‘performances’. A total of 125 performances are available, each of which can hold up to five rigs in one logical place. The typical use of a performance would be storing the sounds dedicated to the intro, verse, chorus, bridge, and outro of a song, and switch between them using a foot controller.
Custom foot controller support—Kemper have been working with companies offering custom foot controllers or chip tunings for universal foot controllers in order to give choices to the Kemper Profiler users. Watch out for offerings from FAMC Liquid Foot, UnO 4 Kemper, and others.
Rig-a-lo-mania – A brand new set of Presets—A completely new The Amp Factory Rig Pack as well as pitch shifter rigs and presets have been added. Rig Pack 04 and Keith Merrow Signature Rigs are now included in firmware 2.0.
The Kemper Profiler Software Version 2.0 is now available to download for Kemper Profiler users.
