Plughugger has launched The Second Renaissance, a soundset for the Diva virtual analog synthesizer by u-he, featuring 150 new sounds aimed for modern dance music.
The Second Renaissance is a collection of sounds aimed for modern popular dance music genres and is squarely built on the new “Digital oscillator” introduced with Diva 1.3. This soundset contains no Moog or Roland oscillators – but brings out the new sounds capable with the new oscillator.
While the new oscillator quickly got known as the “Supersaw oscillator”, it has to be said it’s much more than a supersaw, and is actually the most versatile sound source in Diva, with everything from gorgeous triangle waves and wicked feedback sounds to tunable noise and incredible lush stacked sounds with the supersaw.
The soundset is available to purchase for the introductory price of 9.90 EUR until March 31st, 2014 (regular 14.90 EUR).

Plughugger has announced the release of Dr Bob, a sound expansion of 100 new sounds for the Spectrasonics Trilian virtual bass instrument, aimed for modern dance music.
Dr Bob is modern take on the Moog legacy. From the original Minimoog and Taurus pedals to modern models such as the Little Phatty, Spectrasonics Trilian offers a wealth of sampled Moog models.
With this soundset we set out to push the sound of Moog in new directions. Not only is this an expansion with bass sounds, but also contains sounds seldom heard from a Moog: mellow synth plucks, lush pads, inspirational arpeggios and old-school stabs(!).
As a bonus, Dr Bob comes bundled with the additional soundset Fat Bastard.
Fat Bastard is a collection of 50 presets based on the experimental and weird waveforms from the Metasonix Assblaster, and works well as a counterweight to the polished and well-behaved Moog waveforms.
A bit of a warning though. These sounds are a bit all over the place and are not as “sophisticated” as the sounds in the Dr Bob soundset.
The Dr Bob library is available to purchase for the introductory price of 9.90 EUR until February 16th, 2014 (regular 14.90 EUR).

Plughugger has announced the release of Red, a new soundset for the Access Virus TI and Snow synthesizers, aimed squarely for dance music productions.
There are 128 sounds in the collection divided into four major categories: bass, plucks, pads and sequences(!).
Although the Virus doesn’t have a built-in sequencer (at least not in the v5 of the operating system), we used some tricks with its very capable arpeggiator to simulate the functionality of a real step sequencer.
Virus TI Red features
- 128 presets for the Access Virus TI & Snow:
- Bass sounds: Dark, Big, Snappy, Interval, Acid-style, Distorted.
- Plucked sounds: Bright, Interval, Soft.
- Pads: Bright, Soft, Big.
- Sequences: Bass sequences, Interval sequences, Plucked/Lead synth sequences.
Virus TI Red is available to purchase for 9.90 EUR. A free demo bank with 10 presets is available to download.

Plughugger has released Deity, a sound expansion of 150 new sounds for the Spectrasonics Omnisphere aimed for modern dance music.
In the third installation of the Sound Expansion series for Omnisphere, Plughugger turn their focus on one of the real synthesizer legends: the Juno from Roland.
The Roland Juno is one of those rare synthesizers that despite its stunningly simple operation can cover pretty much every thing a House producer would want. Great bass, big pads and defined leads.
The model Spectrasonics used for Omnisphere was the Juno 60 and there are a total of 31 waveforms ranging from squelchy acid-like leads to deep organs and incredibly lush pads, which we used to create 100 new sounds.
As with the previous Virus and JP8000 expansions, Plughugger also included 50 additional presets that are built upon the virtual analog oscillators in Omnisphere.
- 150 sounds for Omnisphere
- Bass categories: Arpeggio, Dark, Distorted, FM, Interval, Snappy, Stacked, Sub.
- Lead categories: Arpeggio, Bright Pluck, Soft Pluck.
- Pad categories: Big, Bright, Gated, Soft.
- Chords categories: Arpeggio, Chord Stab.
The Deity soundset costs 9.90 EUR.

Plughugger has announced the release of Bass Invaders, a collection of 111 bass sounds for the ElectraX synthesizer instrument by Tone2.
Bass Invaders is a concentrated bass-infusion for the Tone2 ElectraX synthesizer. ElectraX is a synthesizer that is suited exceptionally well for bass sounds. The filters are grungy, the envelope have that analogue snappiness and the oscillators can be bent in almost any direction.
The sounds in this collection are all single layers, which means you can easily build up huge stacks of sounds by combining your favorites.
The soundset costs 9.90 EUR.

Plughugger has launched Sawtooth Fanatics, a collection of 319 new sounds for the FXpansion DCAM Synth Squad.
Sawtooth Fanatics is a celebration of the King of Waveforms: the sawtooth. In this soundset we explore the sawtooth sonics of all three synths in Synth Squad: Strobe, Cypher and Amber.
Unlike our previous sound collections, Sawtooth Fanatics does not just focus on bass sounds, but has also a large selection of leads and pads.
All 319 sounds are processed with effects in Fusor, but are also available dry as separate presets in their respective instrument.
The soundset is available to purchase for the introductory price of 9.90 EUR until the middle of May (regular 14.90 EUR).

Plughugger has announced the release of UltraVirus, a sound expansion of 150 new sounds for the Spectrasonics Omnisphere aimed for modern dance music.
In the second installation of the Sound Expansion series for Omnisphere, Plughugger turn their focus to the mighty german synthesizer the Virus.
The Virus is quite possibly the most successful synthesizer in modern time. It was first released in 1997 and although there have been hardware updates since, they all build upon the same black-red synthesizer in 1997.
With Omnisphere you get a nice selection of 29 waveforms sampled from the Virus Indigo. The Indigo is the compact keyboard version of the of the Virus B, which many people regard as the best sounding Virus ever.
Thanks to the excellent sound design tools in Omnisphere Plughugger turned the waveforms of the Virus into something new entirely, and the final result was 100 new arpeggios, basses, plucks and pads designed to inspire modern dance music production.
As a bonus, there are 50 additional presets based on the excellent virtual analog oscillators in Omnisphere.
The sound library costs 9.90 EUR.
