Loopmasters has launched Felix’s Machines – Robot Percussion, a sample library by Felix Thorn.

Felix’s Machines were initially conceived in an experiment aiming to facilitate live music by transforming sound into a three-dimensional visual show. As an ongoing project, the music-performing machines built by Felix do not intend to match human potential. Instead they exist to test the advantages of mechanical instruments alone.

Robot Percussion features mesmerising performances of hand built music monsters triggering a range of real drums, bells, chimes, motors and discarded objects controlled by a computer brain creating complex rhythms and intricate soundscapes.

• 71 live percussion loops, 301 virtual & manipulated loops.
• 9 bass drum hits, 9 snare hits, 13 cymbal hits, 35 glockelspiel sounds, 133 percussion hits, 7 synth hits.

Future Loops has announced the release of RnB Drums, a collection of live recorded drums for R&B and Hip Hop productions.

RnB Drums includes ready to mix drum loops and fills at 60, 70 and 80 Bpm and hundreds of one shots for those who wish to build rhythmic patterns from scratch.

Standard Beat Company has announced the release of Black Surface Volume One, a new collection of dark ambient hits and loops.

Created by sampling organic and found objects then sent through a rigorous post process, Black Surface offers a unique and versatile set of tools for both music and sound design. Black Surface Volume One includes kits for Native Instruments Kontakt 5 and Battery 3, 93 individual hits in 24 bit .wav format, 10 construction style beats (a total of 43 loops) in both .rex and 24 bit .wav formats, and 3 kits for Native Instruments Maschine.

Black Surface Volume One was composed using all original samples recorded with a variety of portable, cellular, and cassette recorders. Loops were sequenced using additional sounds from the beatserv “Vintage” library and Audio Damage’s Tattoo.
