Sample Magic introduces Production Academy & new Summer School dates

Sample Magic Production Academy

Sample Magic has announced the Production Academy, a recording and production course based on Sample Magic’s best-selling book, The Producer’s Manual.

The Production Academy is an indispensable five-day music recording and production course taught in the award-winning studios and facilities of Alchemea College in the heart of London.

Led by Jon Olliffe (Nick Cave, Ms Dynamite, PJ Harvey, The Klaxons, Beverley Knight, Madness, The Stereophonics) and with sessions from The Producer’s Manual author and Sound On Sound editor-in-chief Paul White, as well as Mastering Engineer of the Year 2012 Matt Colton and other special guests, The Production Academy offers an intensive and immersive pan-genre masterclass in recording and production for just 12 people each year.

The Production Academy will take place Monday 7 October – Friday 11 October 2013. The course is available to book now for £490 GBP.

Sample Magic Summer School 2013

After two sell-out Summer Schools, we’re pleased to announce a final set of dates for 2013. In residence at the award-winning Alchemea College in London, the Sample Magic Summer School is the essential five-day electronic music production course for all genres, from house and techno to dubstep and beyond.

Led by producer, lecturer and Future Music regular Bruce Aisher and with guest sessions from leading music industry professionals – including mastering engineers, music lawyers and Sample Magic co-founder Sharooz – you will leave with a greater understanding of the tools and techniques used to create cutting-edge dance music, as well as insights into the wider workings of the electronic music industry – from recording contracts and publishing to copyright and business know-how.

The Summer School is set for Monday 23 September – Friday 27 September 2013. This 5-day course is also available for booking now for £490 GBP.

Producer Sessions Live 2013 – Leading artists share studio secrets and essential advice with emerging talent

Producer Sessions Live 2013

Future Publishing Limited has announced the Producer Sessions Live 2013, the UK’s premier event for hi-tech music, bringing together intimate tutorial sessions from the biggest names in music production alongside the chance to get hands-on with the latest hi-tech recording gear within a studio environment.

Producer Sessions Live 2013 debuts in Manchester at the School of Sound Recording (SSR), and for the third time returns to SAE London in the heart of the City’s creative hub, Shoreditch.

Hosted by Future Music and Computer Music – the leading technique, technology and software brands for the electronic music industry, 24 sessions will take place featuring world renowned pro producers showcasing how they create their hits, with attendees receiving exclusive access and essential advice.

In London the entire SAE building will be taken over to present five floors and twenty demo rooms filled with tutorials and the latest gear to try from monitors, microphones and MIDI controllers to synths, sequencers and software. Plus, experts from the top manufacturers will be on hand to answer any questions.

London Electronic Music Event announces 2013 dates and line-up

London Electronic Music Event

The London Electronic Music Event (LEME) has announced the dates and line-up for its 2013 Event, with sessions from Beatport, Radio Slave, SoundCloud, Andi Durrant, Your Army, Mr Bongo, Sharooz and more.

LEME is a weekend of production workshops, business sessions, keynote panels and networking events bringing together artists, labels, entrepreneurs and like-minded electronic music lovers from around the world. Now in its second year, LEME will take place 13-14 April, 2013 in Rich Mix, London.

LEME gives 200 delegates the chance to custom-build their own timetable from 22 sessions led by expert speakers from all sectors of the electronic music industry.
