SMPlugins Open Guitar

SMPlugins has released Open Guitar, a virtual guitar instrument plug-in for Windows PC.

Open Guitar is a VSTi designed for accurate emulation of the beautiful sound of arpeggiated guitar chords in the first position of the fretboard (hence the “open” strings sound).

Open Guitar features

  • Sound synthesis created using single note samples and DSP filters (it’s not a loop player, it’s a true instrument which can play any sequence you want, notes range is from D1 to C4).
  • Strums and arpeggios of an acoustic guitar, customizable with the Soundbox with EQ controls (Steel, Strat, Twelve Strings, Sitar Guitar, Nylon Flamenco).
  • “Hammer on” and “pull off” techniques are possible. MIDI files are included as an example of accurate guitar sequencing.

Open Guitar is available as a VST instrument for Windows PC and costs $39 USD. A demo version of Open Guitar can be downloaded from the product page.

Open Guitar can just do strums and arpeggios of an acoustic guitar, but it is customizable with the Soundbox with EQ controls. Notes range is from D1 to C4. Open Guitar will be available as a VST instrument for Windows PC for $35 USD.
